  1. If it was local to me Id Mill it for free and Id have someone with me to clog up the firewood. The brash would be getting left and if the owner wanted a slab he'd have to pay for them. We have folk local to me paying £50 to fill a 1t trailer with logs they have to cut from the tree themselves.
  2. I find that surprising, but like you Im no expert. I ran a 064 with a 36" Low-pro bar and it was 'ok' I certainly never considered it anywhere as 'quick' (relative term) as the 088 I had (same cc as the 084) I might be going the 64" Low-Pro route on the 084, we'll see.
  3. Oh?
  4. Maybe they dont, but then they should not make uneducated comments on what weapons are classified and used for over there by law as clearly one of the intended uses is self-defence.
  5. Is self defence not an intended purpose of weapons? I think you need to read the US constitution again.
  6. You don’t need to pick up smaller diameter logs by hand though. A set of hand lifting tongs and/or a Hookeroon makes light work of that. Sub-14” diameter logs split 4 ways on my little 22t. Virtually no bending involved and a good posture throughout the operation. I’m closing in on 42 and had two minor back surgeries in the last 3 years so ergonomics is very important to me and I can work all day without much discomfort. Bigger rounds get the vertical treatment obviously.
  7. I’m lucky in that both my 10kw Stoves take 450mm and 500mm logs.
  8. You don’t fancy using it in the horizontal? I find it way easier and quicker. Only go vertical if it’s a big round.
  9. Dunno like. That’s a fair number of posts you’ve dedicated to him today already. If you think he’s trolling you’ve on the reeled in list as well. 😉
  10. Gotta love the banter though. Miracles and Scottish Enlightenment if we read his book and do what he says! Brilliant stuff, and he’s got you talking about him as much as the next man. Hook line and sinker for you as well it seems.
  11. Read this page and it certainly sounds like his though. Utterly bonkers. [emoji15]
  12. If he is trolling then he is a God at it! To prime a trolling near on 3 years prior is epic and worthy of becoming the Troll Master! I think he’s a genuine nutcase and you’re a bit naïve to be fair.
  13. Im not even remotely wound up though? Its just funny. If he's trolling then well done to him, he's done a great job and I do like a good troll so maybe I should tip my hat to him, Im always open to some fresh bait.
  14. I think if you buy sawn timber from the merchants its a full 2"x4"? What is usually bought from them is planned though?
  15. Very nice! What was the dimensions asked for?
  16. Apology accepted.
  17. Consistent? I'll assume you'll be able to provide examples? Ive not offered such a thing in the past nor have I done so now. That's simply your tale on it.
  18. Well not right now obviously as Im off-shore. But sometimes when discussions veer off the way they are its better to make your point face to face to avoid any confusion.
  19. Supposedly every time someone takes the piss he goes and buys himself a new piece of equipment. In the three months he's been here he must have bought the whole Stihl Catalogue. Maybe he can ask his Millionaire Daddy is he can store everything at his chain of Hotels? Or perhaps he can break into his £250,000 trust fund from rich relatives that supposedly disowned his father and his family and build a Warehouse for all this equipment he's to busy cleaning windows 7 days a week to use?
  20. Don't encourage him!
  21. How's the Hang-over? I seen no point in engaging you yesterday when you where clearly drunk again. It is just your point of view and you're putting words in my mouth that I simply did not say. But we'll talk about that and what you previously wrote one day, in person, and Im still very much looking forward to how that goes.
  22. Thats the thing thought. Lock everyone up for a month. Covid all but eradicated from the UK. Back to business as usual but also back to square one in a matter of weeks then back to lock-down.
  23. And when they let flights in again?
  24. No, its not really powerful, good for wee jobs and clogging up sub 12" logs and the small tree jobs he did in London. I realise Im contradicting myself here. Lets say I found it surprisingly powerful for a Saw run off a couple of batteries. He had Makita Cordless tools so has loads of batteries and chargers so was a no brainer getting a Makita bare unit over Stihl.
