  1. He's just trying to bait you into an admission that as there is a large number of over weight staff within the NHS and also a portion of Doctors that smoke there is no conclusion to be drawn from the fact there is an incredibly high number of medical professionals who for one reason or another are not taking the Vaccine. Its yet another example of the false equivalency fallacy and a refusal to examine or recognise that there might be a more genuine reason for that than ''well they smoke too!''
  2. Had a bumper crop of almost fist sized garlic last autumn. We have one each at least every time we have a roast, which is at least twice a week. Whole in the over they are lovely and smooth. Individually tossed in olive oil they go a bit chewy and are even better.
  3. Now we're talking!
  4. They're cracking! Got over 100 in this year.
  5. Why would you not try first? Get it on the Bed and have a look? Then if there’s no way the Saw ahead will pass trim the bare minimum you need to. 🤷‍♂️
  6. So my cheap Sthil meter is most likely a dry basis? So when Im measuring timber for use in the house if it reads 25% I should read it as such but if I was to stick that same piece of timber in the fire I should read it as 20%?
  7. We only moan as you Welsh B*ggers steal our thunder as the worlds biggest Sheep Sh*ggers.
  8. This is the thing. And it makes far more sense that a sizable portion in the medical feel the same way other than labeling them all religious nuts and young people under 30 who are manipulated by social media. We're talking fairly if not highly intelligent individuals who it could be argued are happy to let others be the guinea pigs. Considering these people are at the front line of Covid and see day to day the actual effects it has on people, not the media driven hysteria and still would rather wait and see, or have taken stock of the actual victims does make you pause and think. To blame religion is simplistic and lazy. And for what possible reason would being religious stop you taking this vaccine? Is the implication that these same people do not have all the other vaccines that are normal to take in the UK? Would they be allowed to work in hospitals without them? Its simply lazy ignorance and a smattering of racism if im honest to label everyone other than whites as religious. Atheists are more intelligent than religious people, finds study WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK Religious people are, on average, less intelligent than atheists, researchers claim.
  9. I apologies. It was meant in jest.
  10. Yeh, but yours are full of metal.
  11. Not really. Its hard to ascertain someone's personality over a such a small number of posts and fairly sporadic ones at that. Im certainly not conflict adverse but there's more to me that that. (note emoji) As with a lot of things in life discussing the same issues in person would alleviate a lot of the toys out of the pram scenarios we have here today. Some would be resolved with a fist and others with a beer, then maybe a hug.
  12. Im fine when news outlets stick to facts and figures and not opinion pieces. Its good to get a broad spectrum of left and right bias to form a balanced view. I assume you do the same?
  13. Did I come across as unfriendly? Which part of my post indicated that? Im offended at the way you types Sky and BBC, it came across as really aggressive.....
  14. Well how about this from what I can only image is one of your favorite rags? Just because you disapprove of the message or indeed the messenger does not mean its not accurate. Vaccine hesitancy in some health workers in England 'may undermine rollout' | World news | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Vaccination rates lowest among BAME staff, under-30s and those in the most deprived areas, analysis finds
  15. I could be up for that. I have the space to store it anyway.
  16. You don’t say? Yes, an island with differing climates. The English riviera to the South and the almost Scandinavian climes to the north. Some that promote more desirable grown than others.
  17. So your accounting is accurate but R4 is incorrect? Seems like you’re in the wrong game. You should be an investigative journalist.
  18. Fair enough. Scottish. I'll start looking at better pricing as I start to establish myself a little better. Up till now its just been a beer tokens and still making a of of cash off of it considering Im paid from my employer each day anyway. My mates an Oak Framer and gets his oak through Jewsons of all people. Jewsons have the contacts and its generally French Oak. He's not paying remotely £6.50 a linear foot, at least he was not pre-covid and Brexit. As you say times have changed. That Geert guy you mentioned to me a while ago has another 20-40t of Elm in. Supposedly sold a load to Wales at £200 a ton. I know for a fact he's buying it in at £80-100. Asking if I want a some at that price, never said much after I told him I know the same folk you're buying it off of at £80 a ton. I really need to get 10t in soon.
  19. Green £100 wholesale = £2 a board foot. Air dried at 20% mc £175 = £3.75 a board foot. Kiln dried at 8% mc £200-£300 = £4-£6 a board foot This is all dependant on decent character. All prices are a vague guide.
  20. Or blowing £5000 on a course to trade in Stocks yet fall back on manual labour? As a Window Cleaner you'd think that a company charging you £5000 for such a course would have big windows and they'd clearly see you coming? Maybe you thought they needed a clean first?
  21. Saul would be the best man for prices. But for Oak I sell Green at £4 a board foot. Semi-seasoned/seasoned at £6 a board foot and nicely figured at £8 a board foot. Spalted Beech I really dont know. Ive got some cracking slabs that have now spalted and 4 years air dried. I was not really a fan of Beech but I was very happy with how it came out in the wee Rocking Horse I built so will use it for more projects now. I dont think its as desirable as Oak and Elm. You never said if the slabs are seasoned or green. Id assume you mean green? There's a man here would would most likley buy them off you but Id say they are worth maybe 1/3 less than Oak? But Sauls your man to get a more definitive answer.
  22. Cheers. Will make for some light reading today.
  23. Its the same with the Flu vaccine, it really seems to be the case that medical professionals just dont generally take it. I wonder why highly intelligent professionals in the medical field dont feel the need to take it considering the places you're most likely to catch Covid is the Hospital Wards. I'll await the responses here. Along the lines of the doctors are clearly younger and are allowing the older generation to take it first.
  24. And your username?
  25. Yeh me to. I tell them as much as well. The only time I have 1m sections is after Ive cut off what I need for my own projects but I'll be damned if Im selling them to the folk who think its left over scraps. Id sooner make kindling out of it.
