  1. Yup, exactly that. He’d already quartered a bunch with chainsaw so the biomass guys would take it before realising millers would take it for the same price without the hassle of cutting them in 4 bits.
  2. I was offered this kind of dimensions at £65 a ton the other day

    Dolmar

    Funny that. 🤣
  4. I have the Makita 4300 as well. Came with an 18” bar out the box. Great wee saw. Dropped a 65 foot Spruce with it today and all the sending that goes along with that. Well worth the money. Look on Amazon.de for a bargain.
  5. Logosol Mills use the same Rollers, so if youre ever needing to change them out (not just the bearings) then drop them a bell, prompt delivery as well
  6. If you’ve worked through 30t of larch in the last 12 months it’s a little odd you’ve only just started on a batch of ‘37’s. I guess we all have our own rotation policy. You’re clearly intelligent so no point in telling you to suck eggs. If you’ve done everything correctly then perhaps you’re “that guy” with a bad batch?
  7. That’s one band or all three? If one band that’s a lot cutting. 4m+ multiple times in one sappy log. Id suggest some kitchen cleaner like Detol or Flash in your lube as a cleaner/friction reducer when milling Larch/DF.
  8. Define "quite a bit of cutting" from an almost one year old blade,
  9. Three bands since last September? Most folk go through more in a day. These three bands have seen ''quite a bit of cutting', which implies sporadic use. Id imagine they have been work hardened and is nothing more that user error. Stubby is on the right path I feel. If you're gonna baby three bladed for the best part of a year then perhaps a schedule of PM is needed?
  10. I was suitably chastised, as where you just now. Lets move on and move on up. Very telling that when you have your insults curbed you cant formulate a coherent reply to a political discussion. You have a good weekend as well.
  11. We can continue to discuses the semantics but there is no need for the personal attacks and insults, direct or intentionally indirect. Ive made it clear Im not defending anyone or anything. My opinion is you are intentionally using false equivalency for shock value and hyperbole. If you feel like you can counter this without resorting to insults then lets discuss.
  12. Do keep up. And please, enough of the personal attacks and insults please.
  13. Not really, I was pointing out your false equivalency fallacy. Then you went on the personal attack in your usual round-about way that is somewhat obvious yet easily deniable. Ironically something you have accused me of in the recent past. I wonder if you’ll have a PM demanding you change your username to the one on your passport? You certainly fit the bill of this new regulation.
  14. I need to change my username to Spud then I’ll get a free pass.
  15. Like you I’ve very close to the middle. We can both sit smugly on the fence judging others and the venom they spew.
  16. Yes, I did type that. I’m not defending him but I’m not so blinded by hate for everything Tory/ Right Wing that I’ll make up the false equivalence nonsense you just did. The “follow his lead” comment was in jest, intended to be ironic. The point being they don’t give a shit for Covid and the rules they create for the idiot masses so I’ll not be ons of the useless idiots who follow the now needless rules when clearly they are not. Ive been married 20 years Eggy, I hold the vows I took on my wedding day in high regard. I did not mean to imply that we should cop off with hotties in the closet. Bit I think you knew that.
  17. He’s had the vaccine though. When he said the above it was not available yet. Apples and Oranges. Not defending him but that’s the reality of it. We should all follow his lead and just get in with life. If nothing else he’s leading by example.
  18. Is there a government that does not fall for this?
  19. Busy day milling Larch up on a 15,000 acre Sporting Estate. Managed to knock out 38 4”x8”x12’ Sleepers and 20 2”x5”x12’ boards before the miggies got too thick, even my lips where bitten.
  20. I don’t envy you having to work on a Sunday, yet it’s what I’ll be doing too. 😁 9 x 12” post holes to dig out for some 6” posts as a base for my new workshop. The joys never end. Unless you have some irrefutable proof of your understanding we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. Andrew indeed! I’m only called that by my wife when she’s angry with me and that ends up with some passionate love making later that evening. So I’m somewhat Pavlov’d into being turned on by being called that. Xx
