    Buck spurs

Buckingham Lite Titanium BIG-BUCK Climber Kit? Anyone rocking these. Just curious as to what's people's opinion about these. Just got a pair today, hopefully I'll be using them tomorrow. So far I've been using an old pair of bucks I got on fb marketplace. And before that Treehog spurs (got them. New but they where awful) Regards
  2. Not sure if this is allowed if it's not then I'll remove. So apologies in advance if the former is the case. Im getting rid of a couple saws, have listed elsewhere too. 1) Stihl 460 magnum 20" (lots of new parts + new bar and chain) £400 2)husqvarna 372xp 24" (2018) £400 3) husqvarna 3120xp meter bar, +2chains £1000 All in excellent condition, all working with no issues. Selling because I have way to many saws as it is and replacing these with a 592xp Located in Dorset. Cheers 07494432355 for pics ect.
  3. Evening gents. As the title suggests I'm looking to sub, I'm down in Dorset but willing to travel. I've recently get up my own bit, and sub for 1 form as it is asides from. My own bits but looking to see what else is about. I have a clean licence, all the gear! Truck, tickets, own insurance ect. I'm 31, been working in this game on and off for 15 years. Have a look at my insta ( T.N.TREES) for a couple recent posts of what I've been doing. I dont post everything I do as sometimes I like to get on. Cheers T.N.TREES
  4. I was thinking of painting the sides but needed to put her to work the next day. I will at some point tho. I didnt run the sides all the way to the back because I like to run a rope over the back to hold the ladders. Also never going to stack her out with huge weight ect. I got the sides cut to 90" I believe. Pretty happy with how it all worked out
  5. Hey chaps, Thought I'd share with what I decided to go for in the end. Seemed a ranger or hilux was just too costly and not ideal. For my needs. Having had this Toyota dyna for a couple weeks I'm pretty happy with it, built a back for it cost me £120 in total and easily enough done. It's a big enough truck for me for now but small enough to easily find parking. Can is a bit cramped and you feel every bump in the road but for the price and what I can do with this now mo ey well spend. I found that finding a good truck is hard but when you do it's worth the wait. So I appreciate all who advices me to stay clear of certian vehicles. Anyways thought this would be of interest to some. Cheers again Regards. Ps, may paint the sides and getting some magnetic signs soon.
  6. Indeed ha, I'll check that one out as sounds like it would be better for what I'm going for, thank you. I couldn't be further away from you then on on the coast in Dorset, south east England lol. I'm going to start collecting the large boles of trees and then I can really get at it when I order a kit. Again thank you Regards
  7. Apologies, what I ment by no budget is it doesn't really matter the cost as its an investment of sorts. Ye I believe panther is the way to go for large stuff hut I'll look at the one you have just suggested. I'll be cutting boards on the medium scale to appeal to fine furniture makers, mainly friends in all honesty for no, and the general rule of thumb for drying these slabs is a year per inch so wouldnt be selling anything for a while. Appreciate the advice and I'll look into it. Where abouts are you based Andy maybe I could come check out your setup Regards
  8. More than likely an old thread but new to me. I stated I've got a grand (£1000) to buy a mill, was just seeing what advice was about for a start up. I have the saw and bar correct. Unlimited supply of timber from work, seemed a good idea to make some boards and expand what I can offer to customers Regards
  9. I did look at that mill earlier. I don't have a budget tbh. But couldn't go more than 1k all in for a complete set up, but if my fiance found out I'm dead ha Regards
  10. Hi gents, I have a 3120xp with a 50" bar or more (haven't measured it) What mill would I be best getting, I'd be happy to buy one second hand or new for ££ Just wondering what everyone else is using. I have a small alaskan one and a vertical mill but they are basically toys and not worth using plus they are both missing a part a piece so never got around to seeing them up. I want to start making slab furniture just for fun as I have a furniture making background so the making is easy for me but the be able to produce the timber is something I've never done. Any advice welcome. Regards
  11. Thanks gents. I psrt serviced both saws and cleaned them both up, wish I got before photos because they was filthy. But look like new now. Stripped with a deep clean on all parts, took a while but I enjoyed it. Serviced the bar also, just need to sharpen but the 3120xp has a meter plus bar and chain, so that will be boring to do but needs doing I reckon. Both saws fired up, first time, appreciate the advice. I followed it and glad I asked here first. Thanks gents, till next time
  12. Afternoon gents, I recently picked up 2 new saws, both husqvarna. A 2018, 372XP near mint and a 3120xp both in amazing condition. I'm excited to try milling with the 3120 and the 372 will be my ground saw when on the job. Anyways. My question is having a look at these the chain oil is near black or super dark not what I'm used to seeing or using. Ive got all 2021 saw and use husqvarna recommended oil, mineral stuff that bio friendly. Am I right in thinking I can drain the older oil and replace with new stuff or would it be best to just top up the old stuff with the new oil and let it run out eventually? Not sure if this is good or bad? One of my older stihl saws (460 magnum) used the same oil, not sure what it is either. I have swapped that one with the newer oil and not noticed any issues. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance
  13. @Paddy1000111 Do you have a contact number I can send you a couple videos of a hulix I'm speaking to a dealer about and tell me what you think. I know nothing of vehicles and this one is over 10k Inc vat. Cheers
  14. @Paddy1000111 I only chose the Nissan navarre because it had the back. I dont want to start a debate but what brand is ideal? Ford ranger? Hilux Cheers pal
