  1. If the test was meant to wake up Timberwolf, I don't think it's worked!
  2. Ah, sorry, I didn't realise you weren't a TimberWolf chappie! I now see you are an Arb Talk chappie! Cheers for emailing them to let them know.
  3. Thanks Steve, at least you can now check your settings so you get the notifications again. Hopefully answers to follow? Oh and thanks Mick but I don't think a dremel will save my roller blades - I bought the CH25 second hand and I'm not sure if any previous owners bothered with the rollers - they are a bit banana shaped! I'm slowly sorting it out, bit by bit!
  4. Does no one from Timberwolf Towers read Arb Talk any more? I'd hoped to have a reply by now as they are not tricky questions.
  5. Hi, I'm in the process of doing some servicing on my Entec, ser no CH25PH77030297 and have managed to get 6 of the roller blades off one roller and am now struggling with the second roller! Lots of drilling and tapping is going to be required I think! I'm going to get the blades sharpened but would like to know if there is a min length that they should not be sharpened past and indeed, what the correct angle is for them. Also, I've cleaned out the old grease from the roller assembly (mine has a black acetyl 'rod' in the middle of each roller which I assume is a 'gap filler') and would like to know what grease I can (or can't) use when refilling them and of course during routine re-greasing during use. I have Lithium EP3 in one of my grease guns - can I use this? Could you also let me know the tightening torque for the roller box socket screws. I'll be using threadlock on them as well. <edit> Just seen on the TW150 thread below that the torque is 45lb/ft and copper grease (no threadlock mentioned) so I'll do that when I come to reassemble. Many thanks!
  6. A similar, but 7 ton petrol splitter uses a Briggs and Stratton 6.5HP vertical shaft engine - so you'd need one of them (or similar) some way to interface the engine to the hyd pump and maybe some other bits and pieces! To be honest, if you can't work this out yourself then I doubt you've got the eng know how to do the necessary modifications. As above, either buy a suitably sized generator (don't forget splitters have a high startup current) or sell it and buy a petrol splitter
  7. I've used http://www.tewkesburysaw.co.uk/sharpening for my JB M300 blades, did the front and reverse angles as per the JB manual, about £3+VAT per edge if memory serve me well - just checked - £34.18 for 4 sharpens per blade, 2 blades, so 8 sharpens in total, inc P&P and VAT.
  8. Looks very smart - what did you make it out of and where did you get the 'material' from? Was it done on a sewing machine or by hand?
  9. Anyone got any experience of the https://www.fuelwood.co.uk/Log-Splitters/HorizVert-Splitters.aspx ? Petrol, 9 ton? Or the MDLPOWERUP 37 ton one for £1195 ex VAT? https://www.mdlpowerup.com/product/new-mdl-37ton-megga-splitter/#
  10. Thanks, PM Sent
  11. Ha ha, I like that ^^^^^^^^^ I've just joined the Wee Chipper Club with a 'previously enjoyed ' (second hand!) Jo Beau M300 and whilst I've not used it yet, it was demo'd before I bought it. I'm going to email Jo Beau on Monday but in the mean time, does anyone have a manual they can email me please? Where's best also to get new blades from?
  12. Watching with interest as your requirements are basically the same as mine! I'm working with a (little) 4tonne electric machine at the moment and it does most of what I throw at it but I want something faster, portable (not tied to lecky) and more powerful for the knotty bits.
  13. Have you seen this discussion on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/groups/1438926289712224/permalink/2011036242501223/
  14. Can you let me know the make/model/place of purchase please?
  15. This one looks quite simple and should be easy to knock up. [ame] [/ame] Still don't know what it's called or where to buy one though.
  16. Hi Andrew, I'm possibly interested and am fairly local as well (near Newent) - how old is it and what sort of price are you looking for?
  17. What company is this please? The tel no is for Ruftraks Lifting but I can't find a website. I've found Jeely Sports website - have you used them before? I'm after about 120' of rope to go down my well to support a water pump and pipework/cabling etc. Dammit! A Google search didn't bring up their website but just typing in their name to the web bar did!
  18. It's to enclose our garden, not to protect trees. My wife's flower beds are currently being eaten to destruction so we need to keep the deer out of the garden and keep then in the woodland that we own/border on to.
  19. Thanks! Interesting reading/watching etc.
  20. Seem to be missing a link - can you try again please?
  21. Thanks for the heads up. So what should I/he be using? Just wire fencing? Will the proposed setup help with rabbits/foxes?
  22. Sorry, nothing overly constructive to add but we are having deer fencing, to protect against roe and muntjac, installed later this year so I'll be interested to see what is recommended. Our installer is planning to use 3m metal posts (appx 1m in the ground), spring strainers (tensioned somehow), 13 lines of 2.0mm wire (3 earth and 10 conductive) and an M1200i energiser.
  23. Hi Markie, I'm near Newent, Glos (GL18 area). What would the postage cost be? (2nd class signed for I'd guess would be the cheapest for me and safest for you).
  24. I have an old Entec (CH25PH) and it's always useful to have spares. How much do you want for it (assuming it is in a serviceable condition)?
  25. Ermin Plant Hire? Tool Hire, Plant & Access Hire, Training & Sales | Ermin Plant They have a depot in Stroud. I saw one of their tracked chipped at my neighbours the other day.
