  1. Forget the politics Mark but that video is so full of factual and statistical errors it’s not worth posting.
  2. Doobin is spot on regards the axle locks, I’d be looking to lift as much as possible over the front utilising the blade for stability. Cross carriage lifts are always gonna give you a bit more to worry about. What’s the max size of logs you are planning to move ??
  3. Looks a tidy set up, was that put together by yourself or is it kit ??.
  4. The Scottish Nazi Party yet again wanting to control every aspect of people’s existence. “Freedom” not bloody likely with this bunch of fools and the green idiots backing them.
  5. Articulate as always, prior to the so called “ pandemic “ I never had a great deal of time for him but the guy speaks more sense than 99% of our politicians.
  6. Home Office secretly backs facial recognition technology to curb shoplifting APPLE.NEWS Covert government strategy to install electronic surveillance in shops raises issues around bias... Not normally a fan of the Guardian but good for them in regards the article. We are already subject to a ridiculous amount of surveillance as it is. The sentencing that we see is utterly pathetic so in reality why the obsession with cameras. Watched a documentary last night about physical attacks on police officers and as I’ve said the punishments were utterly derisory.
  7. I’ve seen a few huge pussies around too 42, regards Trump well at least he’s got a rough idea of what planet he’s on which is more than can be said for old Joe.
  8. Are arsonists behind Italy's devastating wildfires? - BBC News WWW.BBC.COM Residents suspect most of the blazes blighting their stunning region are intentionally lit. I’m seeing more and more of this at minute. Regardless of the weather it would seem a good many of the fires are being deliberately lit. 🤷‍♂️🤔I wonder why 'Fire of the century' for Corfu as some locals suspect arsonists behind blazes on Greek island APPLE.NEWS I'm standing watching a helicopter scoop water out of the Ionian Sea and dump it... Little bit more evidence for 42 Overview - Generalised anxiety disorder in adults - NHS WWW.NHS.UK Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life. However, some people... I know you worried rather a lot to say the least during the Covid farce and it seems climate change is a now also a concern to you at the min but the NHS has it covered 👍, bit of therapy and a cuddle will see you right 42.
  9. Well I’d say anyone who survived those early days deserves every penny they got. The casualty statistics for that period make for grim reading. 1600-1700 a day at min for sat, the difference is I guess the cost of everything has rocketed and the tax bands have stayed put for years so the benefits are not as great as they maybe once were. I mentioned in a previous post that I know a good few guys who are paying 60-80k a year in tax for the privilege of being locked in the bin for weeks on end, thanks to our ridiculous tax code you have guys onboard the vessel going tax free due to seaman’s regs ( even though they are not vessel crew ) but divers or dive supvs don’t qualify.
  10. Do you want a job as the negotiator at the next round of ODIA pay talks 👍😄
  11. Air or sat ? Those are the minimum, without going into detail you get an uplift for certain qualifications etc The hourly uplift for sat is 24hrs a day
  12. Not quite, It’s an online CPD type set up which I’ve just completed for the umpteenth time. Just amusing myself between modules.
  13. You think the Loch Ness monster is more likely than other forms of life we are not yet aware of 😂😂
  14. That is porn to me, lucrative porn. jokes aside I guess we all find a system of study that work, got to keep things in date 🤷‍♂️and keep your skills fresh. That’s the only reason I do it.
  15. Nope no hyperbole as you put it at all Mick, you threw the first derisory Moonbat comment in to take it to that point. Where’s the pants wetting Trekkies you speak of 🤷‍♂️?? I certainly don’t see no hysteria surrounding the hearings. I think most people are genuinely interested in the facts as given by the likes of the pilot mentioned. That’s my take on it. I’ll digress and mention many moons ago on exercise with the army I lay in a dossbag at night in the pitch black on the edge of the rift valley in Africa, zero light pollution pure silence and not a cloud in the sky, the number of stars etc were just incredible to gaze up at, I don’t think our minds are capable of taking in the vastness of what’s out there. Enough of that crap 🤷‍♂️I need to stop looking for any excuses to ignore the studying I’m supposed to be getting on with .
  16. Have you watched any of the hearings or evidence given ??? The former US navy pilot I watched giving his statement gave a rational presentation of the facts as he saw it. 🤷‍♂️was he lying “ who knows” to sit here and think we know everything that is out there beyond what we have knowledge of in the limited time we have been flying and in space itself is staggeringly arrogant. Admittedly I don’t expect ET to come past the window on his bike this evening. https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Ryan-HOC-Testimony.pdf
  17. Joe Biden says ‘over 100’ Americans have died from Covid APPLE.NEWS Joe Biden accidentally said that “over 100” Americans died during the coronavirus pandemic as he... Nothing wrong with old Joe 😳
  18. Interesting post with some decent information but let’s get away from the fantasy that is “ net zero “ or in this case a zero emissions transport system, the truth is there never can be such a thing or indeed “ net zero” at all every single item comes at an environmental cost, it’s how we manage that which is the key.
  19. Nigel Farage: BBC apologises over inaccurate report on Coutts bank account closure APPLE.NEWS The BBC has issued an apology to Nigel Farage over a story on the closure of his Coutts bank... BBC inaccurate 😳😳surely not.
  20. The lack of vision includes the lack of ability to look beyond the current narrow option Easy sorted but probably way too out the box for the totally gutless nation we’ve become.
  21. You are unfortunately probably correct in much of what you say, increase the beam a bit and the load capacity would increase massively as well you know. I look around and despair at how things are panning out in the UK nowadays, especially after the last few years of madness.
  22. My own view in this is a total reconstruction and development of a dedicated system based upon the ability to load/offload iso containers at say inland container terminals. A barge wide/long enough to carry say 20-30 containers does not require a huge depth of water to operate in or power to move if tide etc is not an issue, just a pipe dream eggs but why the hell not eh,we spunked billions on hs2 and even more on covid 🤷‍♂️. This country has zero vision or long term strategy any more, we seem to be more concerned about lgbtq+ bollocks and a multitude of other crap than anything.
