Starmer 🤮the minute the bullies of the EU have barked at him has crumbled like a total coward. Where’s the incentive for UK firms to train people when they have a pool of 18-30 year olds of whom many will be trained up and ready to go . “ youth mobility” in name only, nothing more than a pool of labour that will be a death sentence for UK apprenticeships as was the original curse of free movement.

The numbers of guys who did as you describe would I suggest have been absolutely dwarfed by the traffic coming the other way and the apprenticeship and training opportunities lost. Everyone here knows you are very secretive about your Scottish Government role, but in reality did you ever actually go to Europe and work 🤷♂️??? Apart from a few longer lines at the airport what has changed with holidays, as far as I’m aware “ nothing” you can still holiday where you want ???

People know Starmer is a liar, they know he is a remainer who has no respect for or ever accepted the referendum result, they know he prefers the EU method of go back and try again if the result is not what is expected. Sadly if history is anything to go by the ridiculously titled “ youth mobility scheme “ will more than likely harm those trying to gain apprenticeships and training to get a start in life. Luckily contrary to some shite on here about polls, all the polls I read show reform as doing substantially better than Labour.

I do wonder how I’ve managed to get this far in life without the amazing sense of comprehension and understanding of all things political I keep hearing about. There was nothing complex about a lot of the sheer stupidity and pointless nonsense we saw and lived through during that period. I’d have thought the behaviour of those in a position to have far more information and knowledge available to them at the time which we now are fully aware of would be enough of a clue. You certainly didn’t need any training to realise not long into that farce that things had got absolutely out of all proportion. But I guess it’s a personal choice as to what we believe about that period of madness. The explosion was caused by Hydrogen build up from the oxy arc cutting process it’s happened before numerous times and will happen again. Why ?? Because people make the same stupid mistakes and decisions time after time after time thinking the outcome might be different, not unlike the whole lockdown concept and numerous other measures that were put into place by power hungry politicians.

Because they cost a bloody fortune to build, install and maintain. The areas with sufficient tidal flow to make it worthwhile are by nature a nightmare to carry out Subsea Construction in be it with divers or rovs. There are a few around the UK. Something like the Severn Barrage which has been talked about for god knows how long would be a far better option long term. Second highest tidal range in the world down there the energy potential is huge. We just don’t have the balls as a nation it seems to do such things nowadays.
