It’s good to see a few I’d presume pro multiculturalism like minded souls interacting and enjoying themselves but just out of curiosity on a day to day basis how often do members actually mix or work with a decent variety of nationalities or religions or have worked in Africa,Middle or Far east etc I’ve just checked the crew list on the Norwegian flagged vessel I’m on. We have 19 different nationalities onboard with at least 6, but probably more religions. Integration is never an issue, people treat each other with respect, rules are followed, very rarely is anyone offended by anything and no one is trying to push a particular agenda. Every single person has worked and earned the right to be here. We will all finish the project and go our separate ways, mostly back to homes and families, as it should be.

That’s a reasonable assumption with western kids but extremely naive at the same time, if it works both ways then fine. . Try exposing a Muslim child to a different religions at school and then see the reaction and consequences.

Feel free to slate the current party but I’m all ears as to what you think Labour will bring to this show other than literally wiping the asylum list clear by the only method possible. I’d not the statement regarding law and order not clear enough?? The left and the numerous charities etc answer to this is to speed up the asylum system which you don’t have to be a genius to work what that will mean in reality. When the Tories or Labour actually have the balls to come up with a real plan it will be a refreshing change. The opportunity to hold them to account will come at the general election. “ the people I voted for” 😂you mean the majority !! democracy’s a bitch for sure.

You’re an immigrant J but a white male western immigrant with a family, whilst you may not be a practicing Christian you still carry in you the values most of us have been brought up with. Hard work, tolerance,the rule of law not religion, I presume you view your wife and women in general as equals etc etc. Maybe if your children ( in particular daughters )were exposed to the multicultural society and the abuse that came with it as has happened in numerical uk areas you’d have a more cynical opinion of this uncontrolled illegal immigration that we are witnessing here.

We are using 40% Nitrox mix here to extend the bottom times but that restricts us depth wise due to the max ppo2 of 1.4. As a general rule commercial diving is max 50m on Air/Nitrox anything deeper you are looking at Saturation diving and Heliox.

It’s just a small shallow Nitrox IRM ( inspection, repair, maintenance) job on a floating production unit. Small field so not worth putting a jacket in. Lads are doing a load of designated tasks on primarily the mooring systems and installing a few cofferdams to allow dewatering and internal weld repairs on some of the columns. Thruster changeout on a different location too. Nothing overly complicated just very shallow and weather dependent. That dive control is just a basic Air/Nitrox 3 diver panel, gauges are a mixture of contents pre and post regulated etc depth “ electronic and pneumo Fathometer type gauges, O2 analysis, dive scanners and obviously the screens for diver hat cams, deck cams and survey, it looks complicated but in reality isn’t if you know what it all does and why it’s there. Days like today it’s a great job.

We ain’t supposed to be in on this one Andy but I’ve done the Las Palmas down to Africa a good few times 8-10 day sail. Awesome bud and it really makes you think of the guts of the guys who did it all by sail years ago. Reading the responses to thread by those it was aimed at it’s surprising how close a lot of people are to home work wise on a daily basis.
