  1. MPs back new immigration bill which makes arriving in UK without permission a criminal offence APPLE.NEWS A bill which will make knowingly arriving in the UK without permission a criminal offence has... Reading through the article brings home how utterly out of touch Sir Kier is with the average Labour voter.
  2. I often get overwhelmed with the amount of work involved in milling 😆
  3. Always good when the client is happy to see the timber from a felled tree being given a new purpose rather than just being chopped up for logs 👍.
  4. About £70 for the bare unit. I didn’t expect much Andy but it’s seriously effective at cleaning up all the crap off the mill at end of day.
  5. Milled some Larch for a guy today courtesy of recommendation from Andy 👍👍 cheers bud., What a cracking location, wasn’t even taking much notice of the milling in reality with surroundings like that. Had the chance to try out the little dewalt blower, absolutely cracking bit of kit for keeping things tidy and cleaning up at end of shift.
  6. Anything 2 stroke from that era is fetching silly money even the plain old FSIE. Stranraer beach race 88-89 I think , NOS 86 CR500 from custom and comp (Bikesport) cracking tool and nowhere near as bad to ride as is made out. 3hrs the duration was, slept well that night. Remember Scott Gardner passing me on the beach straight laid flat on his bike with his feet hanging off the back 😀. Anyone who was into the off-road scene back then will recognise a lot of the stuff in the paddock 👍
  7. Hi All just wondering if anyone has had any experience of ordering parts from Cooks USA or is there a supplier over here ?? Cheers
  8. World's worst viruses sent Wuhan 'leak lab' by scientists who fled to China APPLE.NEWS SOME of the world’s deadliest viruses were shipped to the Wuhan Institute of Virology by two... Seems the more that is unearthed ref this topic the further away from being a tin foil hat conspiracy theory it becomes.
  9. I’ll sort something out before end of summer Mark and hopefully once all restrictions etc are done 🙏. Ive a favour to do at some point for a mate in Dunfermline with the mill so it’s not that much further down for a few days.
  10. No Mark Not had much opportunity to tell truth. Andy seems to be getting some good stuff around his area but it’s hard to come by it seems up by me.
  11. Why’s that then ??? Is that even a serious question or is it the citizen smith getting the better of the capitalist in you. Simple Mark it’s pure and utter criminal destruction of property, you can’t pick and choose based upon your political views what you deem acceptable, if that was a crowd pulling down a statue of Mandela because of his terrorist past ive no doubt you’d be up in arms, I don’t buy into the white and right is all bad and every ethnic minority or blm supporter left of centre is good bud. Life’s a bit more complicated than that. Trudeau has been an absolute lockdown zealot for what good it achieved , well until he fancied living it up at the G7 party, including using armed police to close churches so I was surprised to see that just being allowed to happen. It’s not just a chunk of metal is it Mark, quite frankly that’s an utterly ridiculous comment.
  12. Queen Victoria statue toppled in Canada APPLE.NEWS Queen Victoria statue toppled in Canada Shame Canadian powers that be and in particular Trudeau weren’t as zealous with these guys as they were with those they deemed broke the covid regs.
  13. Hi All just wondering if anyone had any experience of using woodmizer blades 4800 x 38, or have any recommendations??. looking at trying a few different types to see which works best on my Trakmet, the supplied X cut blades are leaving a great finish but not fast at all and very prone to deflection when cutting if pushed too hard. All settings and tensions are good and it’s happening with brand new bands !!. Spoke to an experienced guy on the forum and the saw dr I use with a view to getting them reset which I’ll do this weekend when first 20 go in to be sharpened. 🤷‍♂️Just realised guys I’ve put this on the back of another post 🙄. Not concentrating and or multi tasking and failing miserably.
  14. Cheers for that. Would have been good to know what it actually was.
  15. Did you ever find out what make and model it was ??
  16. Stinks to tell the truth 🤷‍♂️As you say far easier to drop them to a police station than try and find out how to get them to the BBC.
  17. UK must be prepared for ‘significant flu epidemic’ this winter, says government adviser APPLE.NEWS ‘Seasonal influenza is likely to be a significant issue coming into the autumn and winter,’ says... I often wonder how with a succession of absolutely totally wrong modelling predictions to his name he somehow continuously manages to get so much coverage for every bloody utterance he comes out with
  18. Check Ferguson’s track record too if you want a history of absolute corkers.
  19. Ferguson is back in like nothing ever happened, slap on the wrist a short break and slide back in on the payroll, it doesn’t matter who’s in charge it’s much of a muchness, how many times was old Mandleson given the push 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  20. I’d be inclined to get in touch with the supplier rather than try a home fix even though annealing is not exactly rocket science, 3 from the same batch would strongly suggest a QC issue. I never had any issues at all with 37s on the 130.
  21. I’ll take any tiny bit of positivity in the midst of this lunacy
