Anyway, I thought about it last night this morning I just passed it on to the biomass firm who took my waste wood. A man’s got to know his (and his machinery’s) limitations. -

20€ a tonne from the biomass lads, they like it dried out so the needles have dropped off, so I’ll have to speak to the farmer about leaving it stacked for a couple of months. How much does 1 tree weigh you reckon? 15” diameter at the base, straight up to 25metres I am thinking about 1 tonne per tree. -
I have to price for the removal of around 55 Douglas alongside this football pitch. They can nearly all be felled into the adjoining field, some unassisted the rest easy enough with a winch. My question is (very approximately) how much can I can get for the wood? Most around 25 metres between 15” annd 24” diameter, all straight, but with lower spindly branches. Strictly speaking I’m not set up for this job, but it’s for a LA that rate me and you miss all the shots you don’t make. TIA Mick

It’s very decent work. in 5 years time you’ll knock that off while the customer boils the kettle instead of whilst peace in the Middle East is negotiated! Good stuff anyway.

General consensus is that it’s Ai. Been knocking about on various platforms for a week or so.

Been a good week, dry and clear, made a few quid and nothing broke (man or machine) so much success! Wife is back in the UK visiting her parents, so me and Igor in conversation all evening, bit one sided tbh.

Timberwolf TW150 DHB anvil replacement

Vertical anvil in its entirety went through my ForstST8, made a funny noise for a bit then clang! and out it came. I think there’s space under the rotor disc, between it and the chamber for it to pass underneath. I would replace both anvils, rotor bearings, and check rotor fans for damage. I think they replaced the old ally fans made of cheese for better ones at some point, may be worth checking with your dealer. -
