  1. Well, if it's a light(ish) prune ie. no large wounds you'll be good to go. Large wounds can cause rot pockets, not in itself an issue but the purists will object. Just my opinion mind.
  2. Tell us what you mean by "tidy up"?
  3. Start your saws, spring, summer, autumn, winter it's all good (or bad)
  4. I think the issue might not be the actual cleanup as opposed to the staining. Could be awkward.
  5. Another small point, as has been said "choke" the strop rather than put the Krab directly around the handle, reduces movement and the chance of damaging the trigger mechanism or less likely, revving the saw inadvertently.
  6. The more stuff you accumulate the better equipped you are when you make the leap to get and do your own work. (Which you should be aiming for IMO)
  7. An Interview with Peter Hitchens - "the Country Is Irrevocably Finished" - Disrupter.Media Don't always (ever) agree with the guy, wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with him. Usually read his stuff though, columns mind, not his books, I'm not mad!
  8. Ha ha! I recognise that little fella! (Not the dog or the willow man btw) That is a nice piece of art/work/artwork though. It doesn't get vandalised then?
  9. Not as an employed or contract climber though Stephen.
  10. [ame] [/ame] This sort of "matter" "I think we've been here too long, I feel unusual, I think we should go outside"
  11. What are they? couple of quid each. Can't say I've ever really fretted over quality, they usually get to the bottom of the tool box and disappear in to the "matter" that lies there before they wear out.
  12. Battle of Orgreave inquiry ruled out - BBC News No Orgreave enquiry then. Neither surprised nor disappointed if I'm honest.
  13. Garages use pipe on the exhausts of cars to evacuate the gas from the workshop.
  14. Never wash ropes etc, like the man said bit of WD in the krabs oftimes if they're sticky.
  15. Nice stuff, I couldn't believe that I hadn't posted in this thread before. Winch will arrive for this next week, then we'll have some fun.
  16. If I did milling or day upon day of hedge cutting I would probably consider it.
  17. I've never been accused of that before! Me an SJW, who'd a thunk it? Anyway you're way off.
  18. Good question, and having spent a little time watching American news channels ie. Fox News, CNN and others reporting the same stories completely differently, I'm aghast at the spin given to twist events. I can only suggest we take a bit of the BBC, with a little pinch of salt. Quite a few Yanks hold it in some esteem. Overall it is a conundrum, I'll give you that.
  19. Criminal enquiry launched after Briton Liam Manley, 14, drowns in French lake while lifeguards were on a lunch break | Daily Mail Online The article btw.
  20. Seriously? Replace crank seals and hoses to use a fuel many times more expensive. Never had any problem with any of my saws re. Fuel. Empty the tank and run them dry if you're not using them for a while. Problem solved.
  21. It's only when you know something about the story you realise the lies they tell. A few years ago a young English lad tragically drowned in a swimming lake near here, he was swimming in the morning before any lifeguards were on duty, this was signposted in French and English (they started at 2pm which is normal) They were not "at lunch" if they were they'd be eating at the restaurant overlooking the beach. The article is mendacious anti French lies. Take anything they write with a large sack of salt, especially if it concerns "foreigners"
