    Yes to both questions. I don’t own either, so tried it with the avant winch and 2:1 pulley system. Not enough unfortunately.

    Had an ash to try and extract from a river (quite deep) Winched it out in bits, but couldn’t raise the last 4/5 metres from the root in the bank. Too deep in the water to put the saw in. It was a scenario that I had envisaged, so a deal was struck on the price. I retired semi defeated. (see last photo)

    I change the head gasket on my B&S 35hp v-twin. Set the valve clearance and everything! Been fine since. Its worth having a look and seeing if it’s clearly compromised.

    I meant no real snark. I just think if a homeowner or someone outside the trade comes on asking a genuine question, I like to see them get an informed factual answer, or at least an attempt at one. Not misled through ignorance or mischief.
