  1. At the risk of reigniting the debate, angle grinders both big and small scare me. Jumpy evil bastards.
  2. This was a subject of lots of discussion back in the day. Never hear anything about it now
  3. You’re replying to a post from 13 years ago, but good to hear you’re being safe anyway.
  4. The non turbos were a bit gutless.
  5. Could you tell us what it’s going in?
  6. Depending what it’s going in, I’d put it at 1/10
  7. Worthing scraped a win. Still top, but the forwards seem to have forgotten to score.
  8. Seen those about here. A few youngsters use them to get to work. Handy little things, do the job.
  9. Play up pompey! My mates son is captain of Worthing who are in a tense promotion battle at the top of the National league south. So I’ll be keeping an eye on that game. At the coast this weekend, weather set fair, back feeling better this morning.
  10. Fine if you’re a freelance climber. Not as viable if you’re actually pricing/selling to a client.
  11. An unusual film featuring Clint. Not his best, but worth a watch. I love a bit of Country, and here’s the title song, germaine to the thread I thought.
  12. We’ve had some great weather here lately, ground is hard enough for the loader. So been knocking the work out in good fashion. Even those intimidating ones that visit you at 3 in the morning to give you something to mull over.
  13. I’ve always maintained climbing is largely beneficial for your back, or at least not detrimental. Bending over and picking up sticks or branches to stick in the chipper is not good for the back however. I have a new climber being trained up at the moment. So I’m grounding more than usual, often on easier things like lime repollards, where you picking up hundreds of bits. Feeling it in the evenings. Lots of Vitamin I(buprophen)
  14. 50 is a breeze, sure your energy levels are down, but your experience and expertise are at an all time high. Just get on with it!
  15. I mean it’s nice and everything, but..
  16. It’s a 2.0 bi turbo. They are in France where the DC is rare. For obvious reasons.
  17. I wouldn’t say it’s support, more a recognition that it’s a reasonable measure. Imagine being a young mum dropping the kids off at school in your Clio that you husband (let’s say he’s an office worker) has bought with his already taxed income (including VAT) Behind you is Mrs Jones, in an all singing dancing Hilux invincible with her 2 kids in the back. Her husband had written off the VAT and reduced his tax bill by buying it, plus the fuel is a tax write off Seem fair?
  18. You can take at least one more passenger in a king cab, two at a pinch. Not in comfort, and shorter distances are better. But it’s doable if needed.
  19. Ford Ranger Wildtrak in blue. My 4th Ranger in a row. Before that a Navarra, two Hilux and the first pick up was a Ford P100 Ironically the only photo is of a DCPU!
  20. Hardly a sledgehammer! From now on if you want your VAT back and the purchase price put on your business you’ll have to buy a perfectly adequate king cab. I have just ordered one in fact, coming in August. I would have liked a double cab, but I understand the rationale. It seems fair tbh.
  21. I don’t see how stopping people buying a dcpu on the firm and giving it to the wife as a family car is hitting the normal working man. It is closing a tax dodge.
  22. Do they sell single cabs still?
  23. Saw one a couple of days ago. Always a big day for me.
