  1. Big wide Leylandii hedges, one bloke can pass it to another to get a better throw.
  2. Maybe, years ago things broke more often, tyres, bulbs, batteries, you had to have some mechanical savvy just to get to work. These days cars are so reliable that kids don’t bother/need to perform basic maintenance. I would either have helped or driven past without a backward glance, I don’t see the rationale for knowingly leaving the old bird with an oxygen mask sit there while the kid struggled.
  3. He calls his dad or the AA or whatever. He’s not going to get attacked by a werewolf on the moors cos he can’t change a tyre.
  4. Yes they look it in fairness.
  5. Well, there’s plenty of real experts on here who’ll chime in I’m sure. But the tubes should be downward male into female to prevent that from happening. Also I am assuming those pipes are double skinned?
  6. Have your pipes been installed upside down?
  7. Saw these in a wood today, seeming to follow the line of an oak root nearby. Any ideas?
  8. My accountant asked me the same question recently, rather half heartedly if I’m honest. Remember I’m in France, so I’m not sure if the rules are different. We decided not to bother, for reasons I can’t go into on here. Like I said before every single big call is mine alone. I dunno, I’m no expert on it (clearly)
  9. Well to a certain extent, I only did 18 months in someone else’s van before starting on my own. I have nothing but admiration for those guys (Clutchy included) who build up a biz sending people out with their own name on the van to do work. There is a lot to be said for running one profitable gang, with you overseeing every big decision and trousering any folding that comes your way.
  10. I see what you’re saying. Especially if your sending teams out unsupervised (by you) making decisions based on how quickly they can get home.
  11. So the only real advantage is that if you’ve misread or lied on your insurance and you fook up big they can’t come after your personal assets.
  12. What are the advantages of being a limited company? (no dog in the fight, but curious)
  13. Wouldn’t that be a bit like taking out car insurance after you had a crash?
  14. You underestimate how much I want to go home.
  15. Anyway, back to the original intent of the thread. I doubt whether they’ll be many insolvencies, but a lot of kit will be sold off very cheap to pay off debts before a lot of warehouse/supermarket jobs get applied for.
  16. Hang on! Let’s not lose grip on reality here.
  17. I’m warming to @kevinjohnsonmbe’s idea of a military coup.
  18. I thought that as well, but I can’t find such a thing on t’internet.
  19. @Stephen Blair what do you mean ‘auto hitch’?
  20. Only marginally, but they gave me back what I paid over a year ago for the 750 against the list price of the new one Plus this was actual footage of me when I saw @Stephen Blair’s 755i.! Seemed like a deal, new machine, upgrade blah blah.. Basically I wanted one.
  21. New loader and old loader 760 arrived today.
