  1. Thanks, that’s the ticket. I ordered the one posted earlier, it should get to my wife before she gets back here on Wednesday.
  2. And I saw my first swallow of the year yesterday!
  3. My old man’s ragtag bag was in the 70s so could well have been from that period. I said I’d get him a new one for his birthday once. He was indignant, didn’t want a new one, loved his old bag.
  4. That’ll more than do! Thanks. Arbtalk hive mind comes good again.
  5. Could be anywhere, building does look like the UK for sure. I’m sure there’s a backstory
  6. I’ll admit there’s a bit of nostalgia attached. My mum used to pack this bag for my dad during harvest when he was driving the combine harvester late into the evening and sent me off on my bike to deliver it to him. I really want it to be the same.
  7. It does appear that this family are unaware of normal customs and mores of urban UK life.
  8. The slot for a thermos is the tricky bit, I’m a tea obsessive.
  9. I’m sort of obsessed with this picture, can you imagine seeing that in the street? Any idea of the source?
  10. I know I know, it’s another ‘what foot spa?’ thread, so apologies for the inanity of it, but I’m stumped, and so is my wife who loves luggage and online shopping so you would have thought she’d have found something. My dad had a lunch bag for years, canvas with buckles and a shoulder strap and a little compartment for a thermos to stay upright and the rest of it for his sarnies (wrapped in grease proof paper) I’m trying to start a new regime of van tidiness and balls of silver paper that used to contain sandwiches and a thermos rolling around the floor are major irritants. So a bag is needed, the thermos slot is the sticking point, and a dealbreaker. Anyone have the solution? She is in the UK till Wednesday so could get it delivered and bring it back if we find one.
  11. Dunno then, soz. Chain runs fine backwards by hand on my battery husky, not your fault I’d wager.
  12. Does it work if you take the chain and bar off?
  13. This little unit, under the fuel filter.
  14. There’s a fuse mounting on the right hand side of the machine that often works loose and cuts the motor.
  15. It’s a genuine mistake, no big deal. Not a sacking offence, more of pisstaking one.
  16. No worries, not a dig at all. I guess people see ash, oak, pines etc. from a very early age. GW just doesn’t get ‘seen’ it’s just a shrubby looking mess, hiding in plain sight.
  17. I reckon 50% of idents are GW. Odd how it’s not recognized so often.
  18. Can’t remember whether there was a real opinion splitter before Brexit. There was the usual get rid of foreigners and hang the paedos stuff but nothing really polarized opinion and got daggers drawn as much till that turned up, apart from Comic Relief of course.
  19. She’s popped up on my FB videos or is it Instagram? Hard to tell these days. Does milling’n’shit, always in tight leggings. Just revenue for clicks crap.
  20. There used to be loads of Stihl/Husky debates in the old days, got quite heated iirc. Simpler times..
