  3. 12 inch for me on 540 an 201 did have the upgrade kit fitted to my 201 and tried a 16 on it OK for the odd cut to save having a ground saw sent up but bogs down to match in the cut IMO

  5. as in title decided the time has come to get a go pro so I did but where I would usually mount on say a vertex vent kask kong etc on the protos you have the vent running along the middle so it would not sit flat which is no good thought about either mounting to the side or at the front but visor wouldn't open fully but would open enough your advice would be appreciated especially protos owners with go pros jay

Didn't think it would happen to me as mines be spot on always started an ran faultless until now a couple of days back it became awkward to start and when it starts it's okay but when you shut the engine off and then try to restart nothing unless you let engine cool done all the basics new plug even new hd2 filter cleaned tank and cleaned carb on ultrasonic any ideas is it 560 upgrade time Jayy

  11. Never really been happy with mine it's my backup saw always grab the 540 first

It looks to me like over feeding has caused a build up of drypatch apply a wetting agent give it a week then scarifying and overseding I was shocked to find out from an insider who works there they use 38 % nitrogen it's going to keep happening my advice would be to stop them and feed yourself wouldn't use more than 8 \ 10 % farmers only use 12% to grow there silage and there using 38 just shows you as a gauge here's an example it's like eating loads of creame cakes you might be happy but doesn't do you any good

  14. hi I wear the breathe flex type c and love them there very similar to the hiflex in size ing etc quite light as far as class c go the bootlace clips I find a nice feature but I find there not as hardwearing as I would like hope this helps jayy

  16. <p>hi Jamie recently got a 540 I know something you don't say to a stihl dealer lol anyway want to keep my 201 as a backup climbing saw but need a new clutch sprocket and roller bearing do you have a parts list for the 201 and you can give us a quote if you like cheers all the best mate jake</p>

  17. have you tried local alotments that's how we used to get rid of chip headge cuttings grass etc then as you get bigger get a yard sell chip for biomass and compost grass and headge clippings and sell to a local nursery that's what we do know
  18. yer just set up my new 540 big log put the saw on full revs and cut for 3 to 5 minets you will know when its long enough because the engine sound will change
  19. hi james I have the karcher and it has this function a long clear tube with a valve on the end its a great pice of kit handy for cleaning chipper truck grinder etc

I replaced the 201 last week the upgraded model with the husky have to say it totally destroys it weve done takedowns to crown reductions this week and last week and not found its limit I know theres mixed opinions on them and was aware of this when buying but mines great so far big thank you to mark and sky land faultless service as usual
  21. I've run a 261 for over 2 years been faultless I know people have had bad experiences but mine must be a good one
  22. My main concern which stoped me buying the portek the other week was I've only ever seen them split straight logs I did demo a friends an he even said stick a narly pice of oak on an it's lost
