  1. I used libre office for a while, had problems with it doing strange auto formatting stuff, irregular line spacing etc. That being said I also resent paying yearly for the new Microsoft office package, Which is why I'm currently using word 2007.
  2. As Darrin said, I would ring up the main suppliers, they will know which is the budget option of every item you need, then just push them hard for the best deal
  3. Agreed, tow bar looks pointless at best, CS100 would be lovely, however as my grandad said 'no point having jaguar dreams and mini pockets' haha. Have to see what the budget allows as and when, vehicle is priority no. 1
  4. Looks like a very similar layout to me, Made in china (of course) 15hp engine, Electric start, 120mm stated capacity. Petrol garden shredder (15 HP) best deal on AgriEuro
  5. Hi Stephen, Get yourself a book called 'The tree climbers companion' by Jeff Jepson. Learn the Bowline, Blakes hitch and Fishermans knot- That should give you a good headstart.
  6. put a picture of a rather large breasted lady as the thumbnail image
  7. I do indeed have a dolly 420, Having only had it for a few months its still on trial, but so far it continues to impress, mine came with a .325 bar and sprocket, maybe its 42cc engine would be bit on the small side for your needs, it will pull an 18inch bar IF the chain is sharp, you can modify the saw to get more power but it willl void the warranty
  8. From what I remember the questions are exactly the same!
  9. Who will commence the bidding on the highly valuable black walnut tree?
  10. I think this is more than a little unfair, You could completely flip the coin on this saying "Its all very well having all the paper qualifications but unless you have the practical skills to put your knowledge into action, you will never be able to implement remediation options and will never be able to carry out real solutions to daily problems" Customer is King, if he wants it felled, most of the time hes going to pay you or someone else to do it, regardless of our opinions.
  11. Hahah I had felled it previosly, it was taller originally
  12. I've been giving the dolly a hard time again, 14 fells all this width or larger
  13. I often wondered if anyone keeps any of the nice big straight hardwood sticks they get on fells/dismantles, stores them in the yard until they have an artic load, then gets a sawmill to buy and collect?
  14. I stand corrected
  15. I was under the impression that it wasn't a good Idea to run aspen on older machines, either run aspen from new or start with it and swap for mix after run-in. The reason being all the years of grime built up from lower standard fuel would be cleaned out and pushed through the carb in one big hit.
  16. [ame= ] [/ame] and the youtube for those who don't have facebook
  17. https://www.facebook.com/356000301277998/videos/vb.356000301277998/382834168594611/?type=2&theater&notif_t=like At the risk of exposing myself to all the keyboard warriors on arbtalk, who will no doubt enlighten me to all the things I have done wrong in this fell... Here is my Ps420 pulling an 18 inch bar, on a fairly large stem (the bar was just big enough for me to get my gob in, but I had to cut from both sides for the back cut) Feel free to like my facebook page after
  18. Dolmar 420 works out at £250 for a 42cc saw that will pull an 18inch bar no problems
  19. Ive had it for a couple of months and its done everything I have asked of it, Longevity remains to be seen, but so far im really impressed!
  20. I got mine from german amazon, 350€
  21. Another good workout for the 420 today, View wasn't bad either...
