  1. A good mix of wood is the best so you get the best of each type, just make sure its dry !!
  2. If you are just starting out then go Fiskars, they can't be beat for quality at that price point.
  3. Someone at work mentioned that name too
  4. Stenhousemuir CC back in the day , and yes cricket is played in Scotland, rugby in the winter and cricket in the winter. Enjoyed the pies and pints !!
  5. Had an artic cat 700cc diesel quad a few years ago was a great bit of kit. Right up to the day it got nicked ! 😡
  6. Another vote for bay. Recently cut 1 back savagely and it has bushed up lovely.
  7. does that include delivery ?? LOL.
  8. I’ve a grand experience of 1 monkey puzzle, it wasn’t very big either. Sap was messy but cleaned off without to much bother. Think I used neat petrol but it was a while ago and my memory is hazy with the passing years ! Lol 😂
  9. I used old army surplus and ebay barbour coats for years, always bought cheap. Best I've ever been is warm and damp, which is better than dry and roasted(super sweaty) or wet and cold ! Sadly nothing perfect and wear and tear in arb is very high so stuff gets knackered really quick. I guess its trial and error and finding your personal "Goldilocks" position out of wet/cold/hot .
  10. My father in law made a lovely rocking horse out of sycamore, it too a light staining and polished up lovely, sadly don't have a photo and my ex-wife took it in the divorce !!
  11. Lancia or Alpha Romeo !!!
  12. Yeah cut your losses and buy a new chain and some new sharp files, you'll just do your head in working with that old bust up chain with rust files. Spend a few bob for your mental health !!
  13. I'm a full PPE wearer all the time every time. My old dad ingrained it in to me and I would never consider not using it. In my view its just not worth risking your life and limbs.
  14. Hope he makes a good fist of it, although former chancellors as PMs don't always do well, James Callahan and Gordon Brown as examples. Can't be worse than the idiot we've just endured for what seems like a long 45 days !
  15. More likely to be watching the racing on channel 4!
  16. Just finished a wee dram to see her off, might just pour another to welcome Charlie in !
  17. Sorry to see her go, always respected the Queen. Just poured a wee dram to see her off.
  18. Clear Usyk points win, don’t know what the 3rd judge was watching ! AJ hasn’t the ring craft for Usyk. Fury will be rubbing his hands together, a fight with Usyk will be a monster pay day and he has the skill set to beat Usyk.
  19. Glad she’s mended mate, I’m still missing mine and seriously thinking about a new one. But don’t tell my wife !
  20. 35 today, I’m melting, Jocks aren’t built for this !
  21. 30 degrees in sunny Jersey, light breeze and the air conditioning is broken! Going for a swim in the sea to stay sane !
