  1. Cheers guys I’ll give the mesh a miss hopefully we’ll get fewer besties as winter draws in
  2. Hi folks Is it normal to get insects finding there way into your log burner, after our recent install , with a external chimney we seem to be having loads of large moths most alive 14 at the last count, few bumble bees and wasps which are dead , unfortunately my other half has me rescuing before we light up then screaming and running for cover when one escapes claiming I did that on purpose hehe . I've had a look at the mesh on cowl which seems to be large is it worth trying to wrap it with a finer mesh.
  3. Cheers guys just back from hols apologies for late response think I'm edging to the Gansfors burk. Still searching for best price.
  4. Hi folks Just got my wood burning stove installed and looking for recomedations on axe /splitting maul, just seen a beautiful Autine axe at the highland show recently but couldn't justify £300 for an axe, is there any hickory shafted (sorry old school) for a budget of £100 you would recommend.
