  1. Black IBCs are hard to get hold of, but are available , normally had the likes of orange juice in them, you can get round black tanks. Wrapping them in black silage wrap also an option.
  2. I treated myself to one for when I was up in the cage cutting rhodos, nice and easy on your arms than a555, powerful enough for that type of job. Would not price the shelf price my local dealer wanted,£480, so sourced it over a hundred quid cheaper.
  3. Heavy drizzle, not cold though. No grass cutting today yeh ha.
  4. Your only a whipper snapper then. Ben Rigby the game dealer, still going in Maldon then? Went to college on sheepen road in Colchester, spent most lunch times in the waggon and horses, hole in the wall or a greasy spoon at the bottom of north hill or pile into a car and go to marks tey, sometimes we would get back to class in the afternoon. Yeess I know, nothing to be proud of, lessons, drink, driving.
  5. Not exactly getting to the answer of TVI's golden nugget:lol:
  6. I bet you were a Saturday night regular at the Copford Windmill, God! showing my age now, 41 years ago I was introduced to that place at the tender age of 16. I can't remember if the Andromeda (members only) was in Colchester or Bury St Eds, another of my haunts. Flares and swallow tail collared shirts, lovely.
  7. There was a large quantity of Newcastle involved, and I had my doubts on the situation when he attached a bulldog clip and ran off laughing with the key to the cuffs, and to this day I still don't know what the tin of syrup was for.
  8. Never take the word of a wood imp, I did once and got 2 years, told me that was what a knot hole in a stump was for, lying little bar stewards at the best of times. Emperor moth
  9. Is there one available for a grumpy old Scottish gamekeeper (not me, my mate)
  10. PM sent
  11. 2nd that
  12. Nice looking bird, Bronze?
  13. Well, Donald seems to have settled in, saw him tredding the buff Orpington hen this pm.
  14. Supposed to be Barnevelder, had a choice of 2. He has been wandering around looking confused, my old hens seem to ignore him, but a night in the shed should with them will see him right.
  15. The last one I spoke to was for double glazing, sure I said send your rep out to quote if you like, there is 70 windows and 6 doors, but if the quote comes in for more than a tenner a window the job won't get the go ahead. Bye. Now the land line phones are disconnected:thumbup1:
  16. Here you go mull, my new cock, Donald 2 (the sequel), popped over to my mates this morning as he was busy, so the pullets been put on hold a week. He said Donald could be show winner and that I should enter him into the local show in august. The missus said its about time there was a big cock on the farm:thumbup1:
  17. Or just thought if you want something wider, cut a 20l drum lengthways
  18. I made my own out of a 5l plastic container
  19. Yeh, you know when someone says, I have a pair of chainsaw boots you can have blah blah blah, you have visions in your mindof a nice pair, stihl, haix bit worn, needing new laces etc, he turns up with a pair of husky willies, 2 sizes too big and a mouse nest in them.
  20. Just to inform you of the demise of our beloved Donald last night. Probably delayed shock from being attacked by my mates bloody jack Russell on Friday afternoon. RIP. Awaiting the arrival of a Barnvelder cockerall from another mate along with some pullets. Pics to follow.
  21. There is not a single rabbit on this estate, its been like it since the sixties, so controlling a fox is to save the ground nesting birds on the moss/bogues (snipe, woodcock, ducksetc). Oh and my chickens.
  22. Have heard some people in Suffolk call em tobey. Shot a dog fox Friday whilst out with the dogs.
  23. I have a palax 35s and log deck running off an international 684, works well, sometimes wish had a 6 way knife for the bigger bits
  24. There were some boots on arbtrader for sale. I bought my stihl boots s/h off ebay, good enough for standing at the processor in and clearing windblown in the woods.
  25. Think is music has gone a bit more commercialised, but still good to listen to. Met him years ago coming out of the guitar shop in Bude.
