  1. I don’t feel sorry for them. It was a massive risk to put more than they could afford to lose into it. Who in their right borrows half a million to put into that?
  2. A new sign has appeared over the weekend saying the new bypass they are building will open winter 2018/19. That’s behind from a spring 2018 original completion date. If this is happening all over the place it’s no wonder they are busy as presumably there are penalties for not completing on schedule?

  4. That’s up to the client to decide though surely? If they decide they don’t won’t to wait they will call someone else in to do the work.
  5. It seems to me that the remainers can’t get past money being everything. I voted out knowing that the economy would likely take a hit. The rich will still be rich, the poor poor and the middle will still be in the middle. It’s not all about money
  6. Hope they finish the bypass that’s not even half done before they go bankrupt! Or is this a tree firm of the same name?
  7. Which is why a one size fits all won’t work in the UK
  8. It would depend on the individual contracts, they won’t all be the same
  9. My imagination tells me first year or 2 will be no better but once they get a grip of it the service will likely be better and they will make money from it without it costing taxpayers anything more than it costs now. I could well be completely wrong though as I’m sure it’s a massive beast that will take some turning around. I have quite a lot of doctors as clients and they all say the same thing, too many managers and horrible waste of services. One example I heard before Christmas was putting weekend clinics on to cut waiting times paying doctors £600 a shift yet only booking 2 of 8 patients in while at the same time not filling the weekday clinics up. The waste is frightening!
  10. That’s just the first lovely thing the delightful woman has said, plenty more out there if you can be bothered to look Edit the first one I found! http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/kate-hopkins-lbc-radio-manchester-attack-final-solution-daily-mail-muslims-racism-a7756776.html
  11. It will be interesting to see if they can do it better, worse or about the same?
  12. I don’t think all season tyres are a bad idea, but millions of people manage to get about on summer tyres without crashing every winter. Certainly south of for arguments sake sheffield I don’t see the need for winter tyres. Up in Scotland I can see they would help. Maybe another way would be to encourage tyre manufacturers to stop making “summer” tyres and go for all season tyres by maybe some kind of tax relief perhaps on all season tyres? Or higher tax on summer tyres. Draconian rules won’t happen I don’t think.
  13. One less on the road which is all good! Do like them just wouldn’t own one
  14. It’s too cheap people may think they aren’t dry enough! Or just rubbish, not everyone wants things dirt cheap
  15. Only another 30 years being skint to go then[emoji23][emoji23]
  16. Expert opinion is beside the point now. We as a nation voted out, the job of the whole of Parliament is to make sure it happens. Some don’t like it I understand that but it would have been the same had it gone the other way too.
  17. If they were that pro eu they could have moved to one of the other 27 states but they chose to bin it off completely, that shows us something too doesn’t it
  18. None of that is fact just opinion! If they hadn’t turn a trading block into the monster it is today we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I read something yesterday about a couple moving to Canada due to brexit and how bad it is, but as you got halfway down it transpired that the pair of them had always had jobs which were EU funded.
  19. What did you say earlier about idiots and not seeing the truth when presented to them? (Something along those lines anyway!)
  20. Sorry but you are wrong the EU was formed on November the 1st 1993
  21. If you mean the vote from 40 years ago then you need to get a grip. That vote was for a trade deal (a good idea I think most will agree on) problem is it changed to “ever closer union” (read federal state not what was voted for) As for last years vote I don’t seem to remember it being a vote for hard, medium or soft brexit? I fairly sure it was in or out of the EU?
  22. Don’t forget nick clegg who’s just been knighted wanting another referendum (and another no doubt until the answer comes back as he wants it!)
