  1. Not this week but I've had a bloke want a day off because it's his birthday. I mean what for? To sit in your pajamas and play with your presents all day?

    Pay

Sigh, on the books or self employed?
  3. Actually I may change my mind about king cabs.
  4. It seems to me that just making a 3.5tonner 4wd will not make it any good off road.
  5. Thing is with these companies like the one Felix is on about, is that they have entire departments whose job is to pay as late as possible, they have computer programmes devoted to accounts in versus accounts out, charge them all double then a bit more to cover the delay. They eat naive little companies like us for breakfast and don't give a monkey's. It's nothing personal.
  6. Crazy money if I recall.
  7. Missing a picture I reckon.
  8. Mine as well FWIW
  9. It works for you so more power to your elbow.
  10. For domestic clients as well?
  11. Watched and enjoyed. Good use of the xrings.
  12. Yes, poplar management. Plant, wait, hack, wait, hack, wait, hack, fell. Works well.
  13. Well said Joe, that sort of job is a nightmare for the groundies. It's important for the climber on a job like that to think of how to make their life easier, ie make the effort to lower into the easiest garden if at all possible.
  14. Wow!! Bit of a bombshell.
  15. That's why they give us the options I suppose.
  16. It's an interesting idea, would have to be much cheaper than the original. Say on TWs for instance how much is the original replacement box?
  17. I spent a couple of weeks in hospital with some broken ribs after a fall a few years back Sean. It's strange how important the food is, it's quite boring in there (obviously!) and the meals break it up somehow. When it's horrible or over cooked it does annoy.Get your wife to prepare something nice.
  18. Brilliant! That'll learn ya!
  19. I had that the other day, "could you cut of the overhanging branches?" "If I can reach it with a pole saw, yes"
  20. Somebody please change the name of this thread to pole saws or power pruners or something!
  21. I had a navarra king cab then a ranger double cab, I'd never go back to a king cab. It's neither fish nor fowl.
  22. They're great, what more can I say?
  23. Agree on that, I would say I'm fairly competent at extricating stuck vehicles. Learnt through bitter experience and trial and error.
  24. Good work Andy, I can't imagine where you would start a job like that. Especially without heavy machinery.
