  1. Can you provide a link to a spec sheet please?
  2. Have signed the petition and sent an email to my MP. Got a response from him yesterday...............and it was as expected...........unhelpful drivel. Claims that fuel tax is not a road fuel tax!!! I will now have fun bombarding him with emails!! I never voted for him in the first place, but he is not to know.......................
  3. Thanks for the feedback:thumbup1:
  4. Has anyone used Facelift for MEWP training? Their course 3b. Any feedback?
  5. 'Dutch' auction......................not!
  6. Difficult one...................but................... If it were your property which suffered damage by some bloke who just drove off, and the incident was witnessed by your 'minted' neighbours.......... Would you be upset if your neighbours did not tell you? And I know being a witness can cause grief, but there are right ways and there are wrong ways.
  7. Not sure the amount you are paying, but 12 months may be considered an 'unreasonable' notice period. Give them 12 weeks notice? Then again if you are paying on an annual basis and not monthly................ Now, if you were an ordinary consumer and the terms were in the small print then you can tell them to shove it.
  8. Must get one of those then:lol:
  9. Interesting dilemma............... Do you need the customer's permission to use his property in such a video clip:confused1:
  10. I thought that the word referred to an ethnic race. I use it all the time in reference to my ancestors...........................
  11. For working close to power lines, then I suggest that you read ENA G55/2 'Safe Tree Working in Proximity to Overhead Electric Lines' (can be downloaded for free); there is alos HSE guidance. Draw your own conclusions on what the network operator needs to be told and not to be told etc. But if you ignore it and take the power line down or electrocute a groundie, then.........................your choice.
  12. IMHO: 1. No. To some customers they might seen too casual (beach wear), and may not reflect the required image. 2. Yes. If doing a comprehensive (proper??) risk assessment, then ALARP would dictate so.
  13. My father had something similar, and I used it as a kid usually as a two person. Not sure how it will be for horizontal cuts.............
  14. Surely his first recourse is against the owner of the tree? Or maybe....................he shouldn't have parked his car there:confused1:
  15. Heard the same story. I believe he lives in Berkshire.
  16. Consider this................ Use pole cutter as much as possible. I only have a pole cutter with adjustable head, and can do 99% with that. Only have clippers for very small & tight areas.
  17. I spend quite a lot of time in the southern Vendee, north of where you are. I have a had a few great holidays in the Bergerac area. As you say a beautiful region. And the Perigord region is just full of trees............... There is a member who is based in Charente Maritime, though I'm not sure where.
  18. Thanks. Look forward to seeing these. Get well soon:thumbup1:
  19. Jamst............. It would be good to get some details of the incident, how it occurred, and what could have been done better etc. We're never to old to learn!
  20. I had the same but managed to unsubscribe. One of the downsides of a freebie service?? maybe a HMGovernment e-Petition would have been better:confused1: But you need 100,000 signatures before they will consider it for debate:001_huh:
  21. Sluuuurp...................
  22. I'm shocked that as of this morning, there were only 183 supporters of the campaign. Come on, guys n girls!
  23. Hi Morten, any feedback on your use of the Stihl Motomix?
  24. It would be great if the original poster came back with some more facts, so that we could have another round of speculation, assumptions, and side-tracks!
