  1. wow! good contribution! obviously the taxpayer spending money on your education was a good investment.
  2. it came from the TV debate...
  3. if only we had stayed perhaps places like Africa wouldn't be sh1t holes. There's only one half decent African country... South Africa... the only African country where the white people stayed.... does that not tell you something?
  4. we give £12billion a year in foreign aid... we are net contributors to the EU by £12billion.... that £400 for each man/ woman and child in the UK. Plus immigration take billions in benefits and healthcare...
  5. speak for yourself, I've not exploited any nations. when did Britain give up the Commonwealth? 70 years ago? Nothing to do with me.
  6. 4000 a year.... that's £100 million a year.... have you ever been to a doctors waiting room? If only Britain could do something crazy like keep immigrants out that don't contribute.... but until then we'll just have to complain about benefits and services getting cut.
  7. If I did live in a damp cave I might see where you live! You really think all those East European strawberry pickers pay more in tax than they take out? Lol, you really think those third world immigrants getting £25k a year of HIV treatment pay £25k a year in tax?
  8. it does for my fellow countrymen. I don't see why I should pay tax so that someone can sneak into the country hiding beneath and lorry and get £25k of HIV treatment a year. I'd rather that money was spent on someone British..... Lol, people on this thread are complaining about benefits being cut for the disabled etc. They wouldn't have to be cut if immigrants never came to the UK to claim benefits....
  9. Tbh, I wouldn't mind. If you pay for healthcare through tax or insurance it doesn't make much difference... Of course with the American system we wouldn't pay for third world HIV victims...
  10. Ohh sorry, I thought my sarcasm was fairly good. But I will certainly consider my sarcasm as an area where I can improve upon. Only someone that's never taken his head out of their arse would think some people aren't taking the p1ss on benefits. If the tories do something about them it will be a good thing.
  11. yeah, those poor benefit claimants. it will be hell for them with all those cutbacks, it wouldn't surprise me if they wont be able to afford a new 50 inch telly to go with the SKY package and pack of 20 fags. There must be a charity where hard working people like myself can contribute a few quid each week to make sure they can afford their cans of "special brew"?
  12. If it's a "Black Walnut" it will be worth a great deal of money.
  13. Perhaps, she must be the only MP that has ever tweeted "I fu&&in hate Celtic".
  14. It was a tongue in cheek post. I was trying to make the point that having lots of East European workers in the UK is probably not very good for British workers...
  15. Yeah, those East European workers are brilliant. I had to take a tree down in my garden. I got some Brits in to give me a price, they quoted £500!!!! I then got a couple of Romanians in to quote, they wanted a far more reasonable £300. I had a good chat with them when they were doing the work. They said they spent 8 months of the year working like mad in the UK, then 4 months back in Romania living like kings. When they were working in the UK they saved every penny they could (they slept in their transit) so they could spend it back in Romania. They were a couple of right good hard workers, if you want any trees cut down give me a PM and I'll pass their number onto you.
  16. My MP is now a 20 year old student that worked in a chippy.
  17. Anyone that does stuff like that should spend 5 years in jail.
  18. You might be right. Are you in Iraq?
  19. Fingers crossed for UKIP
  20. Why do you want to buy trees from Scotland if you are in Ireland? Is there any reason it has to be larch? I'd imagine scots pine would be a lot stronger...
  21. I think the problem with H&S is that it's applied with no common sense. I work as a civil engineer in construction. On one motorway site I was working on the delivery lorries had "Highway Maintenance" warning signs. The H&S guy made the haulage contractor replace the signs with "Motorway Maintenance".... You work out how much it would cost to replace the signs on a few dozen vehicles. Maybe a thousand quid for no real H&S benefit...
  22. Are there any special hazards on the site? is it next to a school etc?
  23. if you kill the grass you'll just have a muddy mess? it's the grass roots that hold the soil together? how about using grasscrete? it gives a solid surface to park on and still has grass.
  24. is it cheaper to plant by hand or tractor? how flat does the site have to be for tractor planting?
  25. I'd be concerned that during winter the pipes freeze and burst. I also understand if sunlight gets into the tank you can get algae. Both problems could easily be overcome though. If I was going to di it I would use an IBC tank - cheap and cheerful.
