  1. I was thinking of getting a laser bore sighter for my brother's Christmas. Anyone ever use one? The reviews on amazon/ ebay are a bit mixed.... Before anyone asks it's a laser you put in a rifle barrel to check the scope is zeroed in.
  2. I wish the police would arrest the lot of them and deport them all to Somalia. Protecting national borders is a fairly basic duty for a Government. If the EU/ tories can't do it we should get parties in that will.
  3. Lol, put £300 into your back pocket and clock off at 2.30pm, just like a real pro!
  4. I think alba trees sell oak stakes (25mm square by 1200 mm) for circa 50 pence each. Is there a local garden centre you could sell them to?
  5. I think we can all agree that Islam really needs a new Public Relations advisor...
  6. Back in 2001 my brother had a job that involved going to a lot of takeaways owned by Asians. He said a lot of takeaways had posters of Osama Bin Laden in the back rooms.... I think we all have to accept that a significant number of Muslims absolutely hate us.
  7. Is there any gorse in the area? Plant your trees then surround it with cut gorse.
  8. I googled "little green men" and there are 420,000 results. Does that mean little green men exist? I don't think the "moderate muslims" have condemned terrorist attacks enough. That's my opinion and the opinion of many people I know. "How do you react to the news – the result of a major BBC survey - that 11 per cent of British Muslims sympathise with fighting against the West? That 20 per cent of them believe Western liberal society can never be compatible with Islam? That 11 per cent feel that organisations which publish images of the Prophet Mohammed deserve to be attacked?" Why the survey of British Muslim attitudes is so profoundly disconcerting | Comment | Voices | The Independent
  9. Ahhh, so when someone publishes some cartoons etc the entire Muslim community goes on mass protest marches and hundreds are killed in religious violence in the like of Africa. When religious extremists kill a few hundred you get some rather half hearted apologies from Muslims spokesmen. Can you see why more and more people are getting concerned about Islam? More British Muslims have joined ISIS that the UK armed forces.....
  10. Ohh sorry, I always thought it was possible for a ship to change direction? Don't blame Thatcher for sinking the Belgrano. Blame the Argentinians that started the war.
  11. ISIS have declared war on France and the West in general. It's about time the "moderate Muslims" condemned ISIS a little bit more. tbh, if they don't start to condemn ISIS (and tell the authorities about the terrorists in their community) they will have to be considered as part of the enemy.
  12. lol, I can imagine a lot of people reading this thread and thinking WTF!
  13. I think a lot of people here have noticed how wood that is completely soaked with water seems to dry faster than wood that is partially dry. It could be an interesting experiment to see how quickly wood dries after two weeks in a pond? It is possible that when wood is saturated the sticky stuff in wood is washed out and it's easier to dry.
  14. Where are you?
  15. How about doing some voluntary work to make your CV shine out? I volunteer with the NTS and remove rhododendron etc. It's not exactly what you're after, but it could be a foot in the door for consultancy.
  16. I remember when I was a kid we had some really big trees removed from the garden. My dad got the tree surgeon to cut a seat in one of the stumps it was a talking point
  17. I went to Cambodia for a holiday and went to a shooting range. I fired an AK47, M16 and an M60. There is another range where you can fire an RPG at a cow.... My mate went to East europe for a holiday and fired similar guns. I believe there was also a draganov sniper rifle there.
  18. I've seen the numerous threads as well discussing the best way to advertise logs. However, you can't sell by weight as wet logs are heavier than dry and you can't sell by volume as logs "settle" if you give the bag a shake. As a log consumer I'm happy buying logs by the "dumpy bag". It's a volume that I can picture in my mind's eye. I'm really not convinced that it's worth the council spending a great deal of time on an issue like this... if people don't think goods are worth the money they shouldn't go back...
  19. I work in an office. He's a nice enough guy but it does my head in.
  20. I can see the argument for taking Christian refugees. But let's face it, some cultures just don't want to integrate with us.... How many Brits have went to fight for ISIS? 700?
  21. nice to see the council do something productive with their time. "nanny Britain" at its finest.
  22. I sit beside this guy at work and he makes this grunting sound as if he is taking a d*mp. It really does my nut in Sometimes he also talks and talks, he can take half an hour to tell me something that could be done in 2 minutes. Anyone else ever suffer annoying workmates?
  23. I want someone to fit new taps on my bath. I know it's a thirty minute job for someone that knows what they're doing, I'd still be happy giving them fifty quid to do it...
  24. My dad had a "T" reg one since new until about two years ago. He then got another one. Nice enough to drive and good fuel economy.
  25. I understand non EU migrants cost £118 billion over 17 years. That's about £7 billion a year. The present benefit cuts are forecast to save £4.5 billion a year. I don't mind paying tax to support fellow Brits, but I don't want to pay tax for foreigners....
