  1. which gives a cu m of 0.864, less the wheel arches is just a little over 0.8m3 same as my 02 plate navara. I charge £100/m3 for hardwood so £80 for a pick up load delivered locally
  2. thanks spud, although we haven't tested the fuel line there is no evidence of leaks in the form of fuel. he cleaned the carb when he fitted the new carb kit. i'll suggest your other potential causes to him
  3. spud, I've got a husky 61 (which I've just replaced with a 560xp) that won't run on its side and refuses to be tuned. I sent it to a local guy who put a carb kit in it when it came back it ran ok for a morning but then wouldn't tick over. I altered the tick over screw and she ran all afternoon. now she won't stand any revs as she just bogs down and conks out. I took it back to the chap who can't make head nor tail of it and he said sell it as a non runner. have you come across these symptoms before? Cheers tom
  4. If you get chance try to get to the theatre royal panto, its unlike any other. and castle howard is worth a visit. the walls around the old city are a nice walk and there are some cracking old pubs on micklegate. if you like mountain biking then you can hire them to go round dalby forest which isn't too far. i'll post more suggestions when I've had a think
  5. whats lime like? is it better than just chipwood? My brother in law has about 20 to fell and was asking me what if anything the timber was worth. Sorry to gatecrash this thread but it is on topic at least!
  6. we had the wp36 on demo and I was quite impressed, it seemed to punch well above its weight especially the splitter.
  7. :biggrin:got one but its no good for defrosting the windscreen
  8. she's warming up and running as normal, don't think its the head gasket. did't know if there was a thermostat or suchlike just for the cab heater? I'd prefer to check the simple things first
  9. I have a Nissan d22 pick up ( still going... just) and amongst a long list of irritating ailments is the heater which has now failed. plenty of air coming through but none of it warm. my mechanic suggested it could be the water pump but that's going to be an expensive place to start. if its related the temperature needle just flickers when its warm as if the flow of water isn't consistent. any suggestions gratefully received tom
  10. I've got a couple of Christmas present loads to go out too. Does a dumpy bag count as wrapping?
  11. the stuff I priced up was 9mm thick which is quite bendy but they do thicker stuff and that is much more rigid
  12. that depends on the thickness, the thinner the board the more it will need supporting. we've used it for cattle gates and it can "belly out" if there isn't enough metal behind it. its very good to work with though, easy to drill and cut and if your metal work isn't quite square its forgiving in that it'll give unlike other materials
  13. where are you based? I've got a mate based near Cardiff who specialises in that sort of thing and could give a good idea.
  14. there's a shop in malton who make tarps to order, in different grades of material. g.woodall and sons, proper old fashioned outfit I love it!
  15. We bought a 22t thor vertical for billets, it'll take 1.2 metre lengths and has performed well so far. We went for the optional winch which was a bit of a waste of money as its too weak to really save your back
  16. could be worth checking all the elbows on the hydraulics connectors, if a foreign lump of anything is restricting oil flow chances are that's where it'll be trapped.
  17. Don't forget " Run for your lives before you're washed/ blown away"
  18. simon there was a chap posting on here recently from your way wanting hard and softwood, brody I think. there are also some biomass boys over my side of gods own country who may be better to deal with for the chipwood.
  19. if it would fit a thor diavolik 22 tonner I'd be keen depending on where you are etc etc
  20. does it have to be processor size (sub 15") or can you take bigger stuff? any varieties you won't entertain
  21. You were indeed correct mike, I've just been to measure it. the fat end is 17" in diameter of which 8" is coloured, the thin end is 13" in diameter of which 5 1/2" is coloured.
  22. Don't hold me to this until I've had chance to measure it but by memory the darker bit is 5 inches across at the base.
