  1. I wish, it would be nicer than the badger spit he gave me at the APF, I couldn't see properly after a few swigs of that
  2. Why does it matter when or why Jon posts? Same as it does not matter if someone was in prison? It's just pointless bringing it up.
  3. Yes, hopper off, 4 nuts off and lift it off.
  4. Explain to her that you responded when you did and why, take it or leave it! Imagine what she could be like if you get the job. This is one of the reasons I no longer do Facebook.
  5. Well we do run our business for them don't we. LOL.
  6. I know mate, I'm surprised they don't want employers to go round and wipe employees bums to, seems like you have to do everything else for them:)
  7. 3.5 stone since November mate, doctors orders. Makes you think when they tell you.
  8. I could do with this at the yard to move chip and logs.
  9. Durham Jon, top of the cathedral. And on a boat on the river wear.
  10. It really is an awesome building, I climbed to the top and then the family and I went for a row on the river and today were at diggerland
  11. Happy Birthday Jon mate!! 21 again ehh:)
  12. You sound like a good employee Joe, I wish there were more like that out there.
  13. I give plenty of it away, if it's to far to haul it back to my yard or is nasty stuff then I have a list a mile long of people who want wood for nothing, I give em a call and it's gone, job done get paid no worries:)
  14. If you are going down the Landu route then you need to be able to get rid of chip quick as you can fill it quickly. Mine is a crew cab tipper 130, I have Heavy Duty suspension, winch and lots of tip sites.
  15. Spot on. I paid a deposit of about £500 and then just pay about £180 a month for a HB20, it pays for itself easy enough and once you have a decent grinder you can sell Stumpgrinding to the customer no problem.
  16. Every time we have a how much should I charge thread the answers are the the same, what I costs one crew to do another crew can do it for less or another crew want double or treble. Price it for what u want or need to do the job and see if u get it. Since going VAT reg I've lost a few jobs but I've won plenty too, I put in the price I want and see what happens. The best way to look at these jobs is to know your running costs and what you need out of the job and then price accordingly.
  17. Not really, I just use a contract climber or groundie to assist on my jobs, I provide chipper, truck and rigging kit. They bring climbing kit and saw. I make a good living and so do they by all accounts.
  18. I'm paying what they charge, they set their rates and for the most I get good lads who get on with the job. I have found a decent few contract climbers I use now and things are better. I have learnt you get what you pay for most of the time.
  19. Cracking pic!!
  20. Yet someone would do it for the wood......
  21. I have a pay pal machine for sale if anyone wants it, in used £25 free postage:)
  22. The panels will side up and can be wedged and with my HB 20 I'd be away in a couple of hours. Nah bother.
  23. Not all of them that I use but...it just make you think am I too easy/nice what have you.
  24. That what I like in people too and I would be the same if I was subbing for people. The thing is I try to be fair with people working for me, job and knock, pints or bacon buttys and a bit extra if possible but I sometimes feel it's one way traffic.
