Utter tosh. I have had my 150 VTR for 6 years and is spot on, looked after and maintained.

I don't hire or lend any of my tools out anymore, I used to hire my chipper to a few local tree surgeons but it always came back in a right state. The bend it you mend it rule is a waste of time as it will always be denied and without proof you can't pursue it. If you do chipper with operator then at least you are in charge of what goes through. I looked at a job the other day where some tit had cut a load of trees down in his garden and left it all on his lawn, "how much to chip that lot?" There was maybe 20 mins work pulse 50 lumps of dog egg to avoid standing in. I said I would email a quote, which I did, and let's just say I won't be getting the job!

It might only be a couple of machines that have had trouble with cracks, all new machines have teething troubles, plenty of threads on here about forst and teething problems.

Even if there is an issue with it cracking I would be confident that Timberwolf will, A. Sort it out and B. Put every effort into making sure they nip it in the bud. Maybe if people are concerned about this they should call TW and get their take on it. I can't wait to get my 230VTR in a few weeks time:)

Pricing guidance for buying trees for firewood etc.

Just offer a token jesture for the wood, £100 the lot say take it or leave it. I did that years ago with a farmer and he was happy and so was I he even moved it back to my yard with his tractor. -
I have a Fitbit Charge HR with step counter and heart rate monitor on it, it links to an app on your phone if you want. It measure your heart rate all the time.

No test holes or anything like that, theres is only 2 sided with glass and one solid wall, it is a wooden frame and had a poly to roof.

It depends on the solid roof system you are going to fit, my parents is made from an alluminium frame with insulated boards and a resin tile type thing, it's from a company that specialist in these roofs.

My parents cost about 7 grand. It's a really good job.

My parents have and are super happy with the results, warmer in winter and cooler in summer, much quieter in the rain and wind.

Look in your books at what it's worth to the company, it will have been written down over a few years and then you will have had tax relief against it, see what it's now worth an go from there.
