  3. Can you fill it with 3 cube of wood chip?
  4. I pressed the wrong button. My landy has been the dogs balls today, had to get a large dougie fir root plate and pole tjat the owner had stripped back in its hole today, it was at a funny angle, the owner had tried to get it back in with a car jack!! It bent before it could lift! I attached the strop at about 10ft and cut the other 40 ft off, it didn't spring back as some can, we then winched it with the landy super winch and pulled, it slowly pulled the root plate back into its hole. I then felled the butt and logged it up and split it with my axe. Richard my assistant logged the other section of fir and felled some windblown connys. It was a fun day for once. Paid and away by 2. The landy saved the day again as the job was in a boggy field with no tirfor anchor available and narrow acess. The landy earned its keep again:)

    tipping cost

Bugger all mate, I often get paid to tip or it's free to people who want it. I never have Amy problem getting rid of the stuff:)
  16. I did some deer fencing last week, fricken hated it, give me trees anytime!!
  17. I don't use an hourly rate unless I'm felling for a guy I know and then it's by the hour. I have had people call up and ask our hourly rate to take a tree down though. One man asks me to look at 3 x 50ft connys, asks how much per hour would I charge to drop them, sned them and leave in 4ft lengths, they were leaning and next to a caravan, I said I will just give you a price, I told him 200 pounds, he asks how long it will take and I said that it will take what it takes as I'm just charging to drop the trees and leave how he wants, he is still asking for the bloody hourly rate, in the end I just say its the job I'm pricing not the time. In the end he agreed and said go ahead. I dropped em and had the job den and dusted in an hour and had 2 brews with him. Saw my point in the end, it's taken him a year to clear it up!!
  18. They would get it defo!!
  19. Seen it, it's ace, especially when the tree drops on the house:)

  25. It's allways gonna be like this especially with everyone watching the penny's. A guy I rang last night asked me to do some chipping for him, he has got some trees to take down, he has got experience with a saw but no insurance etc, the people are happy for him to do the work as he is cheap!! That's what we're up against, se customers don't care how many tickets or insurance you have just get rid of the tree cheap! To be honest it's starting to jar me right off, I've worked hard to build my business and then you get morons comming along and doing work for cheap, it's ok saying they won't last or what happens if they have an accident but there are plenty more waiting to take their place.
