    New truck

This morning the landed steering went funny, I called up my dealer and they said take it straight in, I did and it was a swiped UK joint on the steering, they gave me a landrover 90 and will fix mine ASAP. That's why I take it to my main dealer. So another £150 quid. I had a look at an Isuzu d max tipper today, online not in the flesh so that's another line of thought to ponder.

    New truck

I take my Landy to my local main dealer as they are more reliable than the other landrover specialists in my are, that's because they give me a landrover to use while mine is in getting fixed and they get me in straight away. It's had a new gearbox and transfer box, it's had cam shaft oil seals done recently, head gasket and other bits. I just think that if I can split the work load between the Landy and another vehicle it will ease up on the wear and tear a bit.

    New truck

It's costing a lot in repairs, as good as it is I am looking at other solutions, I think I will keep the Landy and get a transit or dyna to run alongside and spread the usage.
  11. I wouldn't put the bit about giving them an invoice in. Sounds like your trying too hard.

The customer could of told them to do one and get other quotes but that wouldn't make good tv.
  13. If that's with VAT it's about the going rate from my experience. Maybe £100 more than most firms but that's A PLANT for ya. Does that include permits and chapter 8?

    New truck

I'm looking at getting a new vehicle, I can't get a landrover as it seems there are no 130 chassis cabs or and 130 available anymore. I'm looking at a Fuso Canter 4x4 but wondering about which size truck? Anybody looked at them? Before anyone chips in I am not interested in : hi lux, l200, ranger, navara, unimog or the likes. Thanks.
  15. Crew neck no zip, like HH lifa.
  16. Hi Al at Ambleside Tree Services a call, he has a tip at Troutbeck bridge where you may be able to tip. Tell him Paul @ PMH sent you.
  17. Why not go and speak to contractors etc, get work experience in the area you want to pursue. From your op you make it sound so easy and it's really a whole different ball game.
  18. This is a joke right??
  19. Not at all, I was under the impression naming and shaming was not allowed on Arbtalk.
  20. The thread was heading in the slagging off direction with people giving opinions of what should be done etc with out the company or dealer being able to give their input. Now TW have responded it should be put to bed IMO.

  22. I would be letting your dealer get this sorted before posting anymore on here as unless your dealer and TW can come on a respond it is a bit unfair. The newer models have been modified or so I'm told.
  23. I'm sure TW will get it sorted for you.
  24. They can make a funny noise, any new machines shouldn't do it now.
  25. I have a 230 VTR, 45 hours. The rollers were changed under warranty, they have modified them now and the rollers don't make any noise. My dealer couldn't do enough. If you get no joy from your dealer then why not try Timberwolf direct.
