  2. Real, cant work with trees and furnish the house with plastic Ours is in a bucket, same one for 3 years, water it every other day and its fine with the wood burner:thumbup:
  3. No, wouldnt get much chip it
  4. £1250?
  5. Ive send my 540 back as "unfit for purpose" Had a call today from the dealer saying husky have sent him a new saw for me do i want it or would i rather have something else. I went for some thing else, never will i own any husky stuff again Ever!
  6. We use a 441 on our team daily, spends most of its time with a 16" bar in which makes it light enough to swing all day with ease but its also got a 25" bar for bigger stuff. This was my main saw for every thing apart from a climbing saw for 4 years, now got a bigger one as well so it doesnt have to do the big stuff any more. Ive also used to 441 for hand cutting in the woods, can turn about 12 ton of beach (stacked as well) in a sensable day with a gallon of fuel to give you some idea how they cost to run I would recomend it, for the size it relativly light and v well balanced. One of our subbies has a 361 which is also a good saw and almost keeps up with the 441 but im not sure how big a bar it will run for your milling
  7. Filled out, would be happy to help. never used oregon stuff due to lack of a good local oregon dealer.
  8. Do you find it help with the CTS? I suffer from a pens and needles sensation from a old neck injury (nerve damage), thinking it could help
  9. If I have to leave the floor it a £1000 for a monkey puzzle Needless to say i dont get any unless its a 3 cut prune
  10. Weve not got time for that, you are not made of sugar so you wont disolve:001_rolleyes:
  11. A interesting mix, will have to speak to our dealer and see what the cost is, budget is not bottomless:blushing:
  12. That was what i wondered, never wished i had them up till now, si i think i will go back into my cave and not try this new fangled stuff
  13. Go with a forst, if it brakes they will help you quickly and with a smile, customer service is a big part of any machine and they are GOOD
  14. Do they do any good to help with vibration issues? I cant see it gets cold enough in this country to justify them but what do you think? Looking at a new 661 and wondered if there was any good reason for spending the extra?
  15. I tightened mine a couple of week ago and thought nowt of it:001_rolleyes: Maybe i should of done:laugh1:
  16. Cheers Chris, that's what i'm looking at
  17. Thanks. Ive tried the Stiens, they are a big step up from what ive put up with for 4 years, but somthing didnt seem quite right. I didn't want to adjust them to see as they were on loan It would be nice to try before buying but we havn't got a dealer for climbing gear on the iow I will take the chance on the Geckos i think:thumbup:
  18. Ive had enough of my cheap chiense spikes that hurt my feet and give me a bruised calf if im in them all day:thumbdown: Im looking at either the Stien X2 or the Distel Gecko. Can any one help if one is better than the other or come up with a better option for the £200ish mark Cheers
  19. We are booked up into the middle of november with prob another 4 weeks work quoted this week, evan if i only get half of it im booked till the end of Nov and ive not had a eve with out at least one quote in the last 2 weeks. Its all good, i brought my first chipper back in the spring and it seems to be paying off
  20. We use the local paper, we found that just a small lineage add gets as much interest as a bigger box add
  21. Having worked both they is quite a clear difference on the infeed. the flywheel etc may well be very simular but i will stand up a say the forst is a far nicer machine to use:thumbup: Thats why i brought one:biggrin: It will take something fantastic to get me away from owning a forst chipper at the mo.
  22. The 6" Forst is better than the jenson in my opionon:thumbup1: Mainly on the infeed, but the whole machine is just a bit better thought out
  23. ive just got a lock jack, brillent bit of kit. ive just come away from blakes
  24. Congratulations to you all. After the service we have just received we are not surprised! Now keep up the good work
  25. Out of date it may be, but if we stop re pollarding old pollards wont we end up with weak unions that will cause more damage to the tree when they snap than re pollarding every few years?
