    Silky Saws

A decent axe will send out quicker than a silky but will have a higher our lay cost. If your on a budget the Stihl turbo hand saw cuts quicker but won’t last as long as a silky
  4. No worries, just shout if you need to speak to someone out side of the events. I’ve seen similar before and it fair messed with me at the time.
  5. Doesn’t sound good, all the best
  6. How you doing @eggsarascal ? you know we all here if you want a rant/talk shit at someone
  7. Look after yourself eggs, life is seriously shit sometimes 😢
  8. I was feeling brave!
  9. I missed that 🤦‍♂️
  10. have you got access to a bore scope? I found the end of a plastic piston stop on the top of a piston once that made a saw bind up every so often. You may be able to see through the exhaust port. other thought is have you taken the starter cord side cover off? Unusual but could be something amis in there that is binding 🤔
  11. I did a day with John at Arborventure training. If your any where near the new forest they are well worth talking to. I would also add a big shot and a few throw lines to your list, high anchors make srt
  12. Why just why? And if you do have to insist to post this crap why post it in training and education your doing neither, well I guess we have been educated in the fact you like the sound of your own voice.
  13. The answer is you don’t get a tpo removed, it doesn’t happen, yes it can, but almost all tree officers won’t play that game so you need to play there game and put in the application and await a decision. Normally once a tree officer gets to know you, and (the standard of) your work and your not wanting to destroy the trees they tend to become a bit more easy going and happy to work with you. In the first instance you need to play the game and build a relationship, every tree owner and worker has to go through this.
  14. Hedge laying needs to be done because you love doing it. Yes you can earn a living but most will tell you it’s a modest one so if you don’t enjoy doing it your stuffed! also like climbing it will take you at least a couple of year to become good enough at it to earn decent money in my mind. Have seen many learn the craft there are only a few that pick it up and run with it from day one
  15. I’ve seen similar done with fencing gripples before. Ground anchors aren’t new but I’ve not seen it done with ratchet straps.
  16. Some have a joint that has fingers on both sides, it is designed to fail to stop you damaging the engine or pump. Unfortunately they work to well and only last so long. what I’m thinking looks like this: Petrol Engine Drive Coupling, Pump Half, Group 2 Pump To 1" Shaft WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Petrol Engine Drive Coupling, Pump Half, Group 2 Pump To 1" Shaft. most hydraulic shops will get you one
  17. I really wanted a clapping 👏 thingy in the bottom corner. Your bang on, bloody idiots.

The tail board was there when I left officer, the lights and number plate were all on the tail board and in good working order, we checked the lights before I left the yard honest ‘guv
  20. Will you two get a room 🙄
  21. Can you turn it over as many times as you like with the pull cord housing off or does it still bind at a full turn?
  22. I’m with stubby, Shirley it must have you looked at the pawls? Are the engaging properly?
  23. The way they tip looks like the lights are protected from what ever your tipping out 🤔
  24. They look good but I’m not a fan of single axel trailers. While I was there I noticed they do a proper road legal log splitter, a change from there normal offerings IWT Log Splitter » Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd - Britain's Leading Trailer Manufacturer WWW.IWT.CO.UK The Log Splitter is our first trailer implement, and we are certain that new and existing customers alike will be impressed with this highly versatile and reliable product.
  25. ISLE OF WIGHT'S RAYMOND 'RAY' ALLEN PASSES AWAY AGED 82 WWW.ISLANDECHO.CO.UK Ryde resident Raymond Allen, who wrote the popular 70s sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, has sadly died aged 82. Ray was born on the Island in March 1940 and attended Ryde Secondary...
