  1. looks good but theres another £100 of vat taking it to near £700,you would think they could make them a bit cheaper than that, would probably sell loads if they were cheaper
  2. is there any uk stockists of this, cant seem to find out much about it
  3. well had it in bits tonight, fuel lines seem good, pressure tested the carb and its leaking at the opposite side from the needle valve, hopefully this is the problem
  4. ok thanks,all shall be revealed tonight..hopefully:001_smile:
  5. well theres nothing in it,i pump it and theres still nothing in it if you get me,sometimes you pump it,it fills up,i can see the diaphragm on the carb through the wee hole going up and down when its pumped but no fuel comes through
  6. my husky technical extreme are pretty much orange
  7. think I got it lol, hopefully it an easily found problem
  8. ok cheers,i plan stripping down tomorrow night to have a see, funny thing is,sometimes it primes other times it doesn't,tried it with the lid off incase I was jamming the fuel pipe but it made no difference
  9. meant to say,the saw does run and runs very well till it starts hunting for fuel, then I purge it and nothing comes into the bulb
  10. ok I have a 346 with a primer bulb on it,it was playing up a bit in a struggling for fuel type of way,i noticed the bulb doesn't pull the fuel through when primed,iv had a wee look and theres no noticeable leak so I was wondering if there could be a diaphragm problem in the carb, any suggestions ?
  11. have you checked your fuel line,i had one do similar and there was a small hole worn through it half way down causing it to struggle pickup revs, changed the pipe, hey presto
  12. 5 inch of snow at home.13/14 inch at work
  13. I work with one in central Scotland, must be honest with you, these things are usually tied up on long term contracts which would probably make it very difficult to source one prepared to take this on,as mentioned, steve or Gordon at a&b might point you in the right direction
  14. ahhh I knew I recognised it,we have a job coming up there soon,sounds a shocker too,steep(winch),extremely rocky,big trees needing logs off,power lines,water supplies,sepa around most of the day,great stuff
  15. the plastic inserts are much better but eventually they get to the stage where they keep coming out of the actual wedge when hitting it,anyone have a good method for keeping them in,i usually jam a stick in it and chap the insert in again, works for a while but eventually comes apart again, annoying
  16. is that loch lubnaig below you there ?
  17. ordered one last night and its not here this morning, your standards are slipping
  18. maybe a L65 and a 162 ?
  19. im sticking with my husky technical extreme, great trousers with the balls still fully intact !
  20. I got a brand new genuine one from the states, roughly £38 for carb,£10 post,£10 import fee, about £58 all in,put it on the saw and it runs sweet as a nut, well happy
  21. ahh nice one cheers, not to bad,was expecting worse
  22. I would have thought the new one will cover the old one aswell,so when you pass you have five years for both before needing refreshed again,if that makes sense lol
  23. ok cheers guys, think i'll try one with a ring and one without and see how I get on,far better than the wooden ones anyway
  24. do you still need to put a ring or rings on the end, went to put one on and theres no chance of it fitting, dont want to taper the plastic down if I don't have to
  25. sorry forgot to say it was autotune, does that have it own ignition module for that saw only ?
