  1. well iv had it all apart, piston and barrel are mint, not done a lot, checked the impulse pipe etc,its all good, interesting thing that popped up though was when I took the cover at the bottom of the carb of the tank breather just kind of fell out,it goes back in although it would probably come loose where it plugs into the tank, reckon this could be my problem ??
  2. going to do that today, its quite frustrating because when it goes it goes well
  3. goes ok till it gets warm then struggles, picks up and dies etc,its like a split fuel line or ignition unit on the way out,had a good check over but cant find anything
  4. thanks mate, not going to mess about with it,will just get a new carb
  5. hi folks, picked one of these up recently with a carb issue, its the 2010 version with primer bulb on it,i had the carb out to check see what carb it was,its a ZAMA EL32 C3A,can anyone confirm this is the proper carb for this saw or has someone tried something different ?,if it isn't the proper one does anyone know what carb is supposed to be in it ?,cheers
  6. what do you need for that ?
  7. I had a split fuel pipe and it started playing up,pipes changed now but still playing up a little, hope this cures her
  8. whats the crack with this,iv read somewhere you give it full bore for 3-5 minutes into a lump of wood,is this correct, anyone shed some light on it?,ta muchly
  9. took the carb off and cleaned it out with carb cleaner, made little difference, has anyone had any bother with the electric thing mounted on top of the carb brfore ?
  10. i was thinkin that aswell,it doesn't make a difference when you loosen the cap though, the wee black electric box that sits on top of the carb maybe the issue im thinkin
  11. will give that a try,cheers
  12. ok guys, picked the saw up this morning, fired her up etc, went to cut first tree, put the gob in fine, went to put the back cut in and it spluttered a bit, done this a few times but only when the saw was on its side,it was going great guns yesterday as usual,it seems to do it more when the saw was full, eventually it goes ok until its left to go cold again, kind of like water in the carb type thing, plug and filter good, anyone else had any bother with these saws ?
  13. put a 20"sugi on my husky 576 5 weeks ago today,it works hard felling whole length trees all day long,no burrs to mention so far, cuts well, thing I did notice though was the sprocket sounds dry all the time even though its not, there was also sparks coming from the tip when it was new as if it was too tight, dont know if that's a common thing or not ?,i grease it regular and turn it once a day, once the nose goes im going to try the Oregon power match then the husky rsn bar and see how they compare,it should be a pretty good test as I do the same thing almost everyday, but all in all its a good cutting bar which comes into its own felling larger sticks
  14. cheers albert, just what im lookin for
  15. does anyone know of the top of their head the number of the carb kit for this saw, thanks
  16. that's pretty much how I was thinking I would do it,cheers rob ps get them fixing kits up so we can get a look
  17. how do you fix the new nose on I was wondering rob?
  18. not keen on the bio oil,use the Oregon stuff but prefer the non bio, only use it as its supplied, sometimes get the non bio due to my moaning
  19. ahh nice one cheers,ok,what is the best method for actually fitting the rivets on ?
  20. just out of interest, how much would it roughly cost to replace the nose on a sugi bar ??
  21. the bar cuts pretty well, quite impressed, think I might purchase another
  22. well I plumped for the sugi pro, will be fired into action on Monday, seems a nice solid bar, cant wait to try it out
  23. rob, whats the difference between the pro bar and the light type pro as they are near the same price ?
  24. okay, interesting reading, where can I get a sugi bar from, seen it on here before but cant mind who it is that sells them
  25. are the cheaper sugi bars hard wearing if that makes sense,im sure I seen somewhere they do a laminated version now ?
