  6. i take it a new o ring comes with the new seals or is it a seperate part ?
  7. seen a video with the guys using what looked liked a bit of tin round the crank the slid the seal down it until it went in place
  8. sorry for the delays guys, yeh its a 372 xtorq, crank bearings packed in and have it stripped ready to go,just waiting on the parts, want to make sure i get it right first time

  16. just wondering why they are grey, mine has packed in and needs replaced and wondered why they are grey and not blue like most on a new bought saw(its not new anymore),incidentally how much is a new one does anyone roughly know ?
  17. does anybody know if there are any decent deals out there for this chain, thanks
  18. 28"inch bar a bit overkill for that saw id say
  19. well put it all back together, changed the impulse pipe with the small hole in it,fired it up and hey presto, seems to have its ooomph back again, happy days, new saw on the back burner for now, thanks for all the help
  20. had a 372 with that kind of problem, turned out it was the worm drive to tight to the crank, think it was a husky recall if i mind right
  21. wasnt overly impressed with intensive cut nor oregon, actually bought some cheap falcon files for firewood and was suprised by the edge i got on the chain, really wasnt expecting that
  22. going to put it all back together tonight,so will see if a new pipe will make any difference, fingers crossed
  23. well had the flywheel off,all looks good under there, took head off, crank turns ok,nice and smooth,no play, one thing that did turn up was a small hole in the little impulse pipe under the carb holder that is screwed onto the head, its not an overly big hole but its a hole on the underside, impossible to see until taken off, could this be the trouble possibly ?
  24. thanks, will have a swatch at that also
  25. have tried that on the clutch side,no play at all, will try the other side tomorrow
