  1. So basically if i do the felling assist, thats me covered for another 5 years ?
  2. Yep that was 5 pulls i done, its not a crisp full rev when flat out with the revs have the odd miss now and again
  3. Im due a refresher in a few weeks and was thinking about doing the felling assist module,if i done this would i still need to do the refresher course aswell even though i had done that module if that makes sense, somebody reckoned as i was upgrading my skills it would trump the refresher
  4. Tried a more reliable tester and this is what it came up with
  5. Was thinking that myself as my other saws are much higher, any idea on a likely culprit?
  6. Whats it meant to be stubby,it runs okish but stalls now and again
  7. What psi am i looking to get back on a compression test of the barrel, its coming back at 90/5,is this normal or low ?
  8. Its like a cross between alder and birch
  9. Need this one identified too please guys, from end of may to the end of june its has 3 inch ish catkins coming of it and a load of sap seems to drip on the vehicles below between that period,no sap or catkins now though
  10. This particular tree was roughly 10-12 feet tall
  11. When i broke one of the ‘beans’ in half there was a good number of seeds in it that smelled kind of similar to a pea
  12. the chains are 100% oregon,iv seen them come in on pallets, they are all individually boxed,iv been buying them for years with no problems whatsoever, the only problems that have occured before is the odd chrome tooth thats a bugger to sharp
  13. ok i went and checked that chain and i reckon that one link is 325 for sure, its factory made so to speak with no obvious join,i have another still in the box, will check it out tomorrow, never seen that before in my puff lol
  14. that does look like a 325 link right enough, the thing is though,i even tried a brand new chain from a 372 display model in the shop, same result
  15. the chain turns round the bar from tip to tip then tries to ride up over the sprocket causes the ticking sound, the chain is 73LPX and has a 7 tooth oregon powermate at the other end
  16. tried the 325,didnt mesh with the sprocket so its not that
  17. yep its doing my head in lol
  18. the husky bar number reads like this(this bar worked on the 576 but not the 372) 585 95 08-68 1647 18" 3/8 058 45cm 68dl 1.5mm the oregon bar reads like this(this bar worked on neither saw) 188SLHD009 P6 18"/45CM .058/1.5MM 3/8-68
  19. will do this tonight, thanks mark,to be honest my dealer wasnt much use, just discarded it as a saw problem and not the bar or chain
  20. tried brand new powermate ,brand new husky bar and chain and new oregon bar and chain,im convinced the entry to the bar rails is slightly bigger(raised) than that of the other bars iv had, which would obviously make the chain offset a little,iv checked both bars serial numbers and they seem to be ok,it has to be the bar as it does it on both saws, the same thing,up until now i have never had any problems at all,i tried a 22 and a 24 inch bar on the 576 and they were fine, its like its the right bar but its not
  21. never noticed to be honest,do you reckon they put a wrong one in at the factory ?
  22. ok,heres the story lol, basically been running a 2015 372 with a 18" husky bar,no problems at all,the time came to replace the bar so i get the replacement from the dealer and stick it on with a new chain,i give the saw a rev to settle the chain in but as the chain goes round theres a ticking sound, im thinking after a couple of trees this will disappear, wrong,i take it off again, put the old bar and new chain back on,its fine,i took the bar back to the dealer but he says theres something wrong with the saw, there isnt, definently not,i tried the bar on a 576 i have and its ticking again, upon closer inspection, the chain will turn round the bar until it gets to the sprocket and it starts riding the tips of the sprocket as if it needs another link, this is obviously whats creating the ticking sound, anyone any ideas as to what the crack is with this, its doing my head in,if i put a half worn stretched chain it works fine but thats no use to man or beast
  23. launch it in the bucket and stop being so tight, get yourself a 560 lol
