  1. You can pull the pin out which I have done on some French cars before but because of limited access I did not on the daily. It's your call (always more than one way).
  2. Yes. You fit the clutch to the flywheel and the bearing to the box as normal. As you push the box on the bearing clips into the clutch. I then bolt up the box and pull back on the release(bearing) arm to make sure it's in.
  3. We had a problem with the gears crunching every now and then. In the end I found that water had got in the box! After changing the oil twice it is now 98% better (good enough)
  4. I did my brothers 2008 model. One thing I would say (assuming yours is the same) it has a pull clutch not a push clutch (fitted to 99% of vehicles). When you come to removing the gearbox it will feel like it's stuck, which it is! You have to false the box back(with lever bar) until the clutch bearing comes away from the clutch plate (it feels sprung loaded). We cut a log to size to catch the box as it was removed.
  5. Jamason poles always save the day. Grate for reduction work
  6. I didn't think there would be to much wrong with it. Very good saw. Keep up the good work : )
  7. I have not herd of any problems or had any problems with my 150. Have you checked the basics, cleaned out air filter, changed the spark plug and give it a good clean around the clutch ( I find it can get clogged up).
  8. I am 6'9" 18stone. My brother does not like it when I am in a picture of a tree he has taken down because I make it look smaller than it is haha
  9. Also when you buy a track/car which is not that common in the uk you will struggle to get parts and accessories when you need them.
  10. Sorry treemoose just read your message !!!
  11. At the risk of sounding dumb, can any one tell me what the shear pin does?
  12. If you had the money and space you would have a big van, little van, pick up and tipper. You have to work out what you need most. Pick ups for towing, caring heavy loads and tools. Tipper with chipper will move tonnes of material and tools and tow. Vans are good for tools and cuttings and may tow. Do not forget if you are putting cuttings into a van the space will go very quickly.
  13. Just to up date you. I cut off the fuel pipe with the hole in it and pulled it through which fixed the problem until I got a new pipe which I have now fitted. thank you for your help : )
  14. I have checked the fuel pipe and found it has got a pin hole leak and the pipe which has been living in the fuel has become very soft. I will fit a new pipe and let you know how I get on. Probably best not to play with auto tune. Thank you for your replys.
  15. I have been having a problem with my husky 576xp not wanting to rev up. I suspect the needle valve in the auto tune cab is getting stuck (properly because it is not my day to day saw and is not started for a week or so at times). I read you can reset the auto tune with 2 9volt battery's (making18volts) connected to the red cab wire and black earth wire and then open the throttle 5 times. I also read I should hear the valve click. I did not hear the valve click. I am not sure if I am resetting the auto tune properly or if my valve is getting stuck! Can some one tell me if I am resetting the auto tune properly or not? Thanks
