  1. Was it this guy ?
  2. I can't say that prior to the last couple of years I had too much time for Neil Oliver and much in the same vein Russel Brand, but as far as talking old fashioned common sense as to the way the world used to be before it was hijacked by nonsensical pish, I think they are amongst the few that are still talking plain old common sense. This is Neil Oliver's take on the current situation and he speaks for me [as I wish I had the words] and I'm sure many others with his analysis of the current state of affairs... Like him or not, who can disagree with any of this ?
  3. I'm quite sure you're right, I wonder if there will be anything alive on the planet this time next year.
  4. It looks like Ukraine has military service so perhaps most would be better prepared than we would for instance. Although this could be wrong as it seems to be one of the subjects that google won't answer directly.
  5. I think if I was a Ukrainian I'd want a weapon, but I take you're point and without training it will probably just lead to a reason to kill civilians. Saw footage of captured Russian soldiers saying that they were tricked into combat thinking they were on exercises, they were just kids who seemed glad to be still alive and with no appetite for war as seems to be the case with many ordinary Russians, cheers.
  6. I wonder how many have died or are mutilated due to the actions of 1 day.
  7. A fairly poor bit of driving then,👎 I can't imagine that the bloke is uninjured, I guess we'll find out the truth.
  8. Disgusting
  9. I was just having a laugh, but at least 30 years ago me and a mate of mine thought that these machines could have been used to generate power, seems just a waste otherwise... the exercise that I take when working at least transforms my energy into something useful [ hopefully ]
  10. This war could have the potential for a nuclear disaster from the point of view that a quick google shows that Ukraine has 4 nuclear power stations with 15 reactors. It would make sense that any major war nowadays risks devastating the globe with radiation, look at Chernobyl and the effect it's had and is still having.. how could any effort of containment possibly happen in a war zone ? There was footage today of a power station being targeted and thick smoke coming from it.
  11. Yep, It certainly seems to power the pushbikes that so many of these 'fit' folk use for 'exercise'... But I get what you mean about gyms after a bit of mind jiggling.... I've never been in one , but I guess the machines are all powered, the fatties would be better off on a big hamster wheel getting the feed in tariff to pay for their membership😄
  12. I've long since thought that gyms are missing a trick in that if all their exercise machines generated power and were linked to the grid they'd make a bit of cash, not that I've ever been in one.. but it would be the free harvesting of energy from locked up blubber and a power source our dear governance is missing out on. The one lesson I got from school physics was that energy is conserved but it's never been more visible😁
  13. Amazing how fast things move, in only a few weeks he's truly shown himself as Trudolf 👍
  14. Aye, most of the Larch up my way is Jap or perhaps hybrid and very gnarly, had some Siberian recently for a job. it was very nice👍
  15. I got mine to fix for one of my neighbours, it had laid around unused for decades and was manky so I decided to strip it and clean it up before trying to fire it up. It was very nice to take apart, everything well engineered Under the grime it turned out to be in great nick the only thing I needed was a carb kit and the pump gears which I was lucky enough to find on ebay from a saw shop in Lithuania of all places, s/h but perfect £8 inc post... so you never know you're luck, anyway the neighbour didn't want it back 👍
  16. Hi, I think it's husky equivalent was a 162, I have a 49SP of the same era .. early 80's There's a thread discussing the 630 on here if you have a search 👍
  17. I've used Alder to make quite a few platters it's such a wet fast growing wood that once it's has dried it becomes quite light in weight so certainly for small items I can achieve complete penetration of Tung oil mixed 50/50 with turps which when after a few soakings to saturate as much as possible and then dry over maybe a couple of weeks or more they become totally durable and survive many hot detergent washes along with all the other dishes, sink not machine. Not exactly carving but dry Alder will certainly soak up loads of oil to replace the lost moisture and regain a bit of weight into the bargain, I like to apply it to one side of a piece of wood till it soaks right through to the other side. For me the beauty of it is that it doesn't take years to dry out before you can use it👍 As is my Strat👍
  18. Cheers, I really only trap Swans and Eagles for the pot😄
  19. It's netting but made from 2mm twine in 1" squares I've used it before to keep the birds off fruit bushes and had no tangled birds.. I take it that would be you're worry ?
  20. We had them up here for the first time that I remember last year, they stripped the buds off all the fruit trees in the village and then buggered off... I was lucky I got 2 apples, netting bought for this year👍
  21. Keep on going Stubby you've nearly got it back on course with butter coming from milk🤣
  22. I have no doubt in the altruistic motives of scientists and researchers who strive to make discoveries and find answers to humanities problems. But these days I think that a very large amount of the ills that folk suffer from would seem to have been caused both directly and indirectly by these industrial complexes fecking with all that we consume in order to make dosh, and many aspects of our lives have been steered by dogmatic lies that get embedded into cultural acceptance and any questioning of the truth gets lost in time. One clear example of this [ at least to me ] is the introduction of the artificial sweetener Aspartame almost exactly 40 years ago when during the Reagan administration Donald Rumsfeld nobbled the panel of scientists that had repeatedly refused it's admittance into the food chain due their observations of it's 3 components. Aspartic acid made holes in the brain tissue of the rats they tested it on. Methanol is a known poison but very sweet Phenylalanine one of whose side effects is known to be intellectual impairment and is metabolised in the human body as the known carcinogen Formaldehyde. But Aspartame being 400 times sweeter than sugar, industry has saved untold amounts of money by using it as a substitute and not giving a toss about any future consequences. Back then there was virtually no obesity along with all the medical conditions that go with it and no doubt fill your hospital to the brim. So allowing sweeteners in consumables became way more than a double whammy for Pharma by eventually creating a global ' Diet ' industry with the ready made market of a generation of people addicted to sweetness where obesity is normal and they think that ' no added sugar ' means it's good for them... it's all over advertising and almost unavoidable unless a lot of care is taken at the shops. This dogma has become so entrenched that the government imposed a sugar tax ffs.. although there's a fair chance that they know exactly what they're doing.. I've long since assumed that Pharma along with weapons and oil are where most of the House of Lords have their billions invested. So this one substance has over a short period has played a major part in changing humanity but even so, most refuse to believe any of this and defend the health benefits of Diet Coke to the core. It's interesting that when my mother was recently in hospital the shop in the lobby area sold nothing remotely healthy. Absolutely not having a go at you, this is just the way I see things, cheers. and not a cow in sight🙄
  23. How about ' The pharmaceutical industries 140 year plan to control the world by poisoning all of nature '
  24. I can't react to your post with an inappropriate emoji, but I totally agree with your reply and understand the strain you're under. Mine has been through 5 years of hell on earth since having an adverse reaction to a prescription given by her GP who to this day has no interest in helping her. Luckily for us she was a health professional herself and her pension nearly covers the cost of her care which is still available here in Scotland atm although the system is under great strain with costs rising all the time. I hope each day for an end to my mum's suffering as perhaps you do also for yours... I don't really have the words to say any more on this except that I wish you well and know exactly what you're going through.
  25. Hi John and Richard, Although this is a massive derail of a thread that's about some poor unfortunate person being killed by a cow, I think that the subject that you're discussing could do with it's own thread and with that it might get more participants as I'm sure that many on here are dealing with the same [ to me, by design ] problem with elderly care. As for myself my mother of 92 is being cared for in her own house by what seems to becoming the new system of private companies gleaning everything from folk who worked and paid to the national health system with their life long NI contributions expecting that they would have been taken in with open arms and been cared for and valued by the propaganda that they were led to believe in, but it seams that in fact they've been duped and have been dumped for the profit of government passing the financial gain being passed on to their compatriot's who they ARE in league with. In the UK, or anywhere else, if you think for one second that the powers that be have your best interests at heart you need to get you're you're head right out of you're arse and wake the **************** up, we're being manipulated big style with the new IT spying abilities that have been made able on a massive scale by big tech and all it's devious ambitions. As far as the NHS goes, listen and believe what this guy say's.
