  2. File available from £3.55 with free delivery ATM. [ame][/ame]
  3. That was ages ago it's celebrities with the initials JC now such as "Le Zoulou Blanc". [ame] [/ame]

  5. I prefer curved blades which generally cut faster as opposed to straight blades which leave a marginally tidier finish so tend to use either a Silky Zubat 330 or Cutting Edge Trojan curved 330 most frequently which one is purely a case of which comes to hand first there is no real difference in performance between the two saws even though one was almost half the price of the other.
  6. Very little difference in price between dealers, occasionally cheaper on Amazon as their prices yo-yo so much, they are well worth the high prices. Cutting Edge do similar saws (also high quality) at lower prices if you are on a budget. Which silky suits your needs is a matter of personal choice most people end up owning a few. In the last 2 days I have been using a Katanaboy an awful lot which I bought from another member on here that decided they didn't have a use for it after all whereas I have used it an awful lot and will continue to do so but I also have other hand saws for different jobs
  7. Surely you just need to know what their surname is so Cher was right for Madonna (whose surname is Ciccone) So.... Cher = Seal Prince = Nelly Lulu = Liberace Usher = Rihanna etc....... Easy isn't it. What I am curious about is why it's in the firewood forum.

  9. Any updates on when you are expanding the range? Whole reels would be of more interest than loops. Part numbers for the specific chain types I would be most interested in are: 70-C1S-100R 70-C2S-100R At some point in the future also: 70-A1-100R

  11. Wait until they are clear felled you will get to see a major flood then. We get a couple of years of major flooding when a new site is prepped for planting by the FC which involves draining all the bogs/marshland up in the hills then another when the timber is harvested with the EA claiming it is completely unrelated to the forestry work.
  12. As I said earlier in this thread I do have a couple of those rarely use them myself as I have always used a round file & see no reason to change that, they are for employees that cannot use a file no matter how many times they are shown. Even the newly qualified kids that are convinced they know everything there is to know about tree surgery can sharpen a chain correctly every time with one of these.
  13. Not the greatest recording of it but... [ame] [/ame]
  14. Nowt, lost the signal from the transmitter about 5 o clock because of the weather & it hasn't started working again yet. Getting bored now.
  15. No mains gas round here, plenty of houses that rely solely on wood for heating, hot water & cooking though. I suspect most people around here would disapprove of logs being imported for firewood & would be quite vocal about it if they new it was going on but the majority would still buy them anyway if that was the cheapest option for them although I do not know of any local log merchants who find it necessary to import timber.
  16. I suspect Egg may suddenly feel the need for a new avatar when he sees these.
  17. I have one of the Lidl bench mounted electric sharpeners, doesn't get used very often & when it does it is only used on the longer chain loops. My own sharpening is done by hand with a round file but I do have a couple of Stihl easy files as they are idiotproof & I got sick of certain groundies I employ passing up blunt saws when I asked them to give them a quick sharpen.
  18. I didn't even get a lump of coal today.
  19. Just noticed this was bought in the spring so would still be under the old rules (sale of goods act rather than the consumer rights act which was introduced in October) which means this link provides the relevant info rather than the other one with the consumer rights act info. How to reject a faulty product and get your money back - Which?
  20. Not strictly true but there are very specific criteria that have to be met for a refund after 30 days. All explained here: Consumer Rights Act 2015 - Which?
  21. Barely any for ages then 63 cube out today, 2 were 20 cube loads for regulars who have been waiting for me to have a quiet day so I could get them out. The rest was mostly 2 cube loads for panic buyers that all ordered in the last few days. Cleared a bit of space.
  22. I use the Exol heavy oil (LO48) all year round, bit slower to pour it when temps drop below zero but none of my saws have any issues pumping it. Used to use Oregon oil but stopped when they changed the formula to the really thin stuff as it pumps it too fast even with the oiler shut down as much as I can.
  23. Just ordered 4 2 tooth Oregon mulching blades (25.4mm centre hole with reducer bushings to take them down to 20mm as required for certain Stihl & Makita machines) from Amazon for £30 they were £10 each with free delivery but also had a cheapest item free offer when buying 4 or more items from amazons home & garden section (offer ends at 23:59 on Sunday, December 20, 2015). That works out at £7.50 each. They also stock the Oregon 3 tooth mulching blades at £16.67 each which is a better price than my local dealer offers.
