  1. Errrr - I don't do FB so can you let me know on here please? Cheers Russ
  2. Hey guys - fairly new to climbing & would love to hook up on a rec climb to get some tips. Count me in (if newbies are endured). Russ
  3. What he said. Well tabbed out. Russ
  4. Joints (that ache) still can work with chainsaws, the other herbal type don't. Russ
  5. I'm a bit more towards Caistor - but hey, what's a few miles to a ***** thief? PM me if you want an update. Russ
  6. Had a pretty active life too, both job wise and social activities (forces & kitesurfing) and at 48 I still pride myself on stepping up to the mark and matching and more often than not beating guys 10 - 15 years younger than myself on a day's work. As winter kicks in I feel the knocks & if I have to will take co-codomal to get thru' a tough job - I've tried the fizzio side and can't wait for the several sessions to take effect, I'm very much a need it now type. Can't rec Bowen Technique enough. I've put a lot of kitesurfing mates in touch with the lady that beats me up when I'm in trouble, instant results as long as you observe the guidelines that go with the treatment. Pills are a short term fix, but an easy solution which as we get older seem more of an ''attraction" in that there is no fuss to be had. I try to steer away from them but have emphasis with the OP on why it happens. Russ
  7. They did our area (Market Rasen) a few months back. Actually got a partial VRN to the plod which turned out to be a clonned plate from a similar vehicle across the water in Hull. It's a catch them in the act job and then sort out shifts to keep watch for them doing you over because you caught them in the act in the first place.......... Catch 22 and hope the beak see' s your point of view for defending your property etc. Gotta love Blighty. Russ
  8. I got my hung tree just roll into a V. The resulting trench / winch scenario wouldn't have looked out of place in the Somme. Happy - sweaty days. Russ
  9. Class clothes / cars / birds & cheesy lines. Someone told me the definition of growing old is now having to scroll down (a lot) to your DOB when filling in online forms. Responding to this thread with knowledge is another. RIP - dude. Russ
  10. For my part - No problems with the 261 - New in May 13 and used in anger since. Russ
  11. Everything that's been said already - I don't want to come across as just posting up a ''communal'' sorry to hear that happened old chap, but I really get how hard that would hit. I've transferred the profits of the sale from my last business into getting off the ground in arbworld - and to have that rug taken from under my feet...............well. Wishing you good karma & a whole pile of bad sh*te to the light fingered scum. Russ
  12. Cheers for the feedback guys - very green on this sort of stuff. BTW - Doh! - Just clocked the website thread, which is where this should of been in the first place. Russ
  13. Getting listed on page 2 of google & I've not really played with the ''back room'' stuff yet. I'm not after a mega sparkley site, but I can edit it whenever I want and I don't have to wait for a tech geek to do it for me. Only posted it for similar small start ups like me to have a look at, but thanks for the feedback. Russ
  14. After being let down by someone promising the world on a ''business card'' style website for £200 and then going to a dedicated web design company and being quoted £500 to £700 (+VAT) I was getting fed up. Watching England V New Zealand RL on Sat I saw some advertising for DIY web design in the form of Godaddy.com I'm no techie geek but I'm ''PC literate'' (whatever that means). 9 hours & £85 later (for 2 years initial membership & hosting) Home More work to be done in due course but I can't rec these guys highly enough, 24/7 phone support with no annoying call centre culture. If you are thinking of websites as being too expensive - think again. Russ
  15. I feel sick at what your head must have been thinking. Absolutely 100% behind nailing scum that cross the line in this way. I was just about to go out the back gate in the summer with our Parson JR and heard the "any old iron" call go past. Waited until the f###ers had left the area before going out. It REALLY lights my fuse and the fizz to bang time ain't good. So pleased you got her back, inside is good! Russ
  16. Ad Flux are pretty good. Been with them on modded camper vans & bikes for years. Russ
  17. In the budget and awesome Stick this in Amazon - Helikon Combat Thermal Mens Underwear Top Long Sleeve Shirt Vest Level 2 Black Russ
  18. What he said - So much better for secure storage, esp with the Windows on total tint. Russ
  19. Hey all Been reading the 201T v the 540 battle on here in various forms and also talking to arbs ''in the flesh'' (shudder ) I'm looking to buy my first tophandled saw in the next week or so - I've got the price down for either of the above via various shops & sites to £500 all in (give or take a few). So as I see it there is a split view on which is best with no real definative points to win me over:confused1: My choice is really then based on which of my local Sthil & Husky dealerships I prefer in customer service? Which means a 201T. If there is a horror story I've missed please shout up! Many thanks Russ
  20. Wilf - 4 Years old. The Ops Manager This thread kept me up for hours the other night looking at all the great dogs. Some sad stories too, but remember how much you get from them and how much they love it. Russ
  21. Hey - New to this forum and soaking up the knowledge. Did 12 years in the RAF Regt '83 - '95. Now finally settled in civvi street doing Arb work and loving it. Based in Lincolnshire, I'm keen to hook up with local Arb crews and share a bit of work time & knowledge. Cheers Russ
  22. I'm off to talk to a spanner / tech mate. In the meantime if the darg or a peacock kicks off.......... Russ
  23. Cheers for a quick response, Steve look for a torpedo type cylinder half way along the exhaust. Jamin - any first hand knowledge of fittings? I've got a good dog but the ***** crew can do the job before I've got the smoking jacket on and got past the peacocks on the main lawn - ;-) RUSS
  24. Hey all I realise I'm diving straight in without an intro - apologies for that. Been lurking on here for a while and soaking up all the great knowledge, I'll do the proper hello later, but I was wondering if anyone has a mod to stop the above thread title happening? Most Arb's drive some kind of pick up / 4x4 - I'm using a Ranger. I was aware of the the vulnerability of the Cat in a raised chassis, but with recent BBC coverage I've had a look underneath properly. I'm no engineer but on first inspection a security "bracket" seems doable? GREAT FORUM BTW! Russ
