  1. No worries Stubbs. TBH MotoGP was the only reason I went with BT, It's only £12.50 a month with all the catch up if you want it. Which I don't. Just got chubby chaps blah blahing to fill air time currently......... Russ
  2. BT Sport this year. Early days but the commentary v last year with the BBC is tragic & lame. Sort it out please BT. Watching with volume on MUTE !!!!!! Russ
  3. Total v Selective weed control = if it has a leaf / growing stem it's going to get a hit. Selective allows most fescue / rye grass stems to survive with good hits on generic weeds inc bulb type plants you've mentioned. Total takes everything. If she wants the spring bluebells and snowdrop / daffodils to survive you can only spray when the leaf & flower have totally gone. Total will do the job on the bramble stems - as long as it's in leaf. Lots of options with chem sprays - PM if stuck. RUSS
  4. PM 're grass seed for lawns. I owned a lawn care franchised business for 4 years and may be able to help. Russ
  5. There was a thread on these earlier - do a search fella. IMO - That size of winch is too big for more most jobs and heavy to lug around. A 2·5 pull would be better. Russ
  6. Just be aware the FC is Civil Service - this means government run AND more importantly, funded. Russ
  7. Latest invoice I've seen for an NPTC registration / assessment is £190.00. This week. Russ
  8. That my man, is the proverbial "mutts nuts". One question - how easy / tricky is the load of the chopper in and off the bed of the truck? Oh and is load space tight? I'm on a 58 plate Ranger (Not a posh new one!) :-) Cheers Russ
  9. Got any photos of in the back of the truck fella? Assuming you're using ramps, two man job with a long ramp - low angle approach? Russ Still waiting for Greenmech to call despite PM' s.........
  10. Cheers guys - good feedback. Greenmech, sales opportunities await. Serious enquiry.............. Russ
  11. Looking to take the plunge on an ex demo from Greenmech - when one becomes available..............cue drum roll and post from GM Rep :-) Russ
  12. As much as this thread is interesting - it's also an invite to bragging rights on "who's the man!" My take: If you can hack it - you're fit enough. If you can't, man up - and if it still hurts after a while, look elsewhere for a living. I say as I find, without the drama. Russ
  13. Cheers all Going to be an ACE 3.2 with strops - loads (pardon the pun) cheaper. Russ
  14. The search for Tirfor on here throws up all sorts - the sharing of your bookmark would be appreciated. Russ
  15. 3200KGS 5000KGS Wire Rope Hoist Winch - Tirfor Type Lifting Pulling Massive price difference from Tirfor - old adage of pay for what you get etc but.......... Anyone using? Russ
  16. 3200KG ACE Wire Rope Hoist Winch - 5000KG Pull Expert Lift 3.2 Ton 5 Shear | eBay Thoughts? Russ
  17. Thanks for feedback & pm' s. Clones / copies ? Russ
  18. I can't be more specific than that I'm afraid!!!! I'm a one man band with access to a very good level of subbies, who like me have the standard gear for work and use the network for access to more specialized and expensive gear when needed. I've been asked to looked at several jobs this week where a winch is going to be must and will be a good investment. Looking at the Tirfor range on HB I'm unsure how much "grunt" to go for and whilst I don't mind paying money for good gear, I don't see me needing the biggest load capacity on the shelf. Any smaller outfits that have been here before and can advise? Feedback much appreciated, done a search and nothing conclusive found. Cheers Russ
  19. I say it as I find. Possibly down to the instructor......and you have to ask, if you weren't shown - why? Russ
  20. Part of 38 was how to sharp climbing spikes........ Russ
  21. What he said, carbon copy letterhead / company logo quote books are cheap enough to get done, and whilst arguably a bit old fashioned, if they are serial numbered provide a professional image that can't be disputed (providing you get the key bits in......) Russ
  22. Tony is a instructor (a good one) but not a Training Provider. Paul is both, using himself and others for instruction. Russ
  23. Paul Peacock at Treetech, he is located 12 miles from Boston & Skeg and I highly recommend him. Russ
