  2. it may have been a stiffer sentance if the landowner had waited untill a badger was caught then photographed that,bad yes but...
  3. good point.. i have only once done a rescue.we knew it was dodgey and i was in my harness all day from the off. to be fair tho i will leave a climber unattended if i got work to do,its not rocket sciense .Prehaps the rubber necker could curl up and die some where.
  4. hasnt worked out yet that she can get a jacket for cutting above waist height.
  5. i would want the flue much better than that,they need to be straight or they will gunk up easy.
  6. if there end of life poles then ya best off useing them as they are,they will probably not produce any good wood,
  7. they hear saws and come from all around...every time i work now its 30mins a day time locking and unlocking kit ,i have even spent the entire day stood by the wagons as the stump grinder and chipper were on site with only roadside access.quite a few theives scanned the kit as i stood and watched with the 66.... its tough out there but the best option is self retrevial,after 1 of the transits got smashed into and 5 saws and kit stolen we discovered who the local drug dealer was and went round mob handed and told him to get our saws back...he was well pissy but we got our kit back a few days later at a cost of 50 quid as he had to "pay" the bloke for the kit... true story...
  8. there are such things as data tags you can hide but ....... also trackers are very small these days but....... was it not locked up and just on the back of the wagon?
  9. mix and match here,trees dismantled last week,hedge cutting this week all good...
  10. well me mate is busy,sent me these of a largeish pine gone over the sea wall onto the beach....... that ill be sandy eh:lol: its in the water at high tide...cant think that ill do the chains much good.The wind blown north coast has very sandy trees indeed.
  11. i spent 3 months in my tent 5 days a week to work a winter forest contract,cooked every night and had flask and hot water bottle etc.... i made 2lt of coffee every morning and cooked breakfast,i also had hot lunch , the wok gets super hot on petrol and does super stirfrys... cant say i even noticed the fuel TBH it runs on a cup or 2 a day...
  12. the td5 wont pull the skin off a rice pudding,tdi is the way..
  13. yep it will run on quite alot of fuels including 2 stroke,mines fine with 50-1 mix...
  14. if you run the coleman you can use the works fuel.....

  17. well maybee but they were not good for me.... haix are split sole and collapsed liners at 14months old....... ...next.......... so i get what fits on the day,im size 48 so its not that easy to find stuff to try on however i did try on the steins(alico) some meindls some husky and lavoro along with the sthill. i tried the haix again as well but the sthills fit the best.
  18. ha yep,i have a mix of sip, husky, and sthill trousers...i i have found the forest flex trousers ok but the material is not so tough..as for the boots they fit so ill go with that. at the end of the day when my feet dont hurt after lifting up haix all day i wont care what i look like...
  19. so how are they any better than the coleman petrol; stove? i have used kelly kettle and with the coleman stove i was fed and watered before the kelly kettle even got going...
  20. lol the sole is split and the right boot leaks like a sieve...ill just move on thanks,wont buy haix again ever...junk heavy lard arse boots for squaddies.
  21. ha ha yep..i laffed alot when i saw that.. cutting at head height with a saw too big too handle. im 6"4"tall and could do that with a 66 as i weigh 18 stone......... sthill a foolish photo...
