  1. It's a bit like running something with the choke on. I'd also check you're air vents near the aga too, as if it's not getting enough air that will also choke it, easy way to check that is fire it up with a window open.
  2. There's a few names for smudge pots, puffing billy was one I thinks 🙂. Think you can adjust the level the burner, as it's a frame within a frame, no doubt you can find the details online. But would say if the flow is good then check the full flue system and clean everything, obviously birds this time of year. As with all AGA's it's either low and slow or full bore heat wise, great for hot water and simmering stew's but awful for cooking anything delicate. I had a lot of carbon in my diet as a kid from a solid fuel aga.
  3. Actually I'm not, a smudge pot just uses the solenoid to go from a trickle to a flow. The overheat at the bottom is usually a thermocouple that fires a shutoff valve on the oil line. The temp sensor on the top left would go to the broken solenoid valve. They aren't that advanced, hence my asking if it's gravity fed smudge pot or a pumped atomiser setup, it's from the 60/70s.
  4. Is that just a glorified gravity fed smudge pot or is there an atomiser sprayer ?. But yes, check you're levels but also check the flue, without knowing the setup the old solid fuel ones had the exhaust going up and under the simmer plate, often overlooked as it needed to be cold and bottle brushed and vacuum to remove soot.
  5. Devil worship, Mormonism you say Ms Valance, take a seat.
  6. So miss Valance, I was a little distracted the 1st three times you told me about your policies, 4th time must be the charm!.
  7. I get the idea, but I had to be there at say 7. I'd have to leave at 6.30 whilst my workmates didn't leave till until 7 and left work early to get home for end of the shift or that was overtime. So realistically I was getting the dirty end of a stick, when I did leave it was a line of us as we were fed up of it.
  8. I had one place that paid everyone else from their door to the factory as we were all mobile. But because I was within half an hour I didn't get it, so that didn't last long when I got shafted for an hour a day.
  9. The only exception to the from the yard is if you're working away from home and staying at accommodation, then it's usually from the time you leave the accommodation.
  10. Swiss Tony might have sold the odd dodgy car, but never ignored Jimmy or Rotherham
  11. It'll all be Country file and that Taylor Swift hating Chris Packham
  12. C'mon, don't feed Gretta after midnight!.
  13. Last time I renewed the insurance it was mentioned but the discount was pointless and they worked it out in the background. Why not ring the NFU ask for the price then see, think it was selected brands tho. Plus ask the dealer, cash is always king. I've a friend who has membership, says how great a deal insurance is for contractors, personally I think they're blowing smoke up his bum.
  14. Principles, erm not paying tax on the house and cheating on the union rep husband. But in comparison to slippery Starmer, yes. Hell, Id trust an estate agent or used care salesman over him!
  15. Angela Rayner
  16. @sime42 how deluded are you?. Or have you already got your frilly boxers ready for the next labour appearance?. The Fishwife or Starmer, its upto you.
  17. Ideally, there was a fad in the 90s of keeping the spools in a bucket of water. Never did it myself, just kept it in a cool damp farmhouse, probably achieved the same thing 🙂
  18. Last time I bought any rotatech must have been 10 years ago. I use Gator as it's the cheapest on eBay especially when you're log processing, so a 25l might last a couple of months.
  19. I'm still slowly working my way through a spool of 3.3 green, I might finally break open the spool of 3.9 diamond orange that's been there for the last decade!.
  20. Having used line for years on bigger strimmers, I'll bet you barely get past 1/2 throttle. Much more and the line disappears, but good indicator for who is abusing the tools 😉
  21. Maybe try a different brand of oil, a 16" 261 shouldn't need max oil flow and I'd say personally thicker rather than thinner.
  22. They stopped at the borders of Gibraltar, they did occupy the channel islands tho. Russia was always slowed partly because of it being winter but also the difference in railway gauge, which still exists today I think.
  23. I'll agree if that includes cycle lanes and these daft road width reduction measure that make it dangerous because ambulances can't overtake!.
  24. I'll let you add private jet owners can be shot out of the sky as the 2nd policy. As a deal sweetener the 3rd policy can be all vehicles to have ABS and airbags removed to improve driving standards.
  25. Can you bin all the other policies and just go for the vegan outlawing. Maybe put those that resist on an island with a webcam, turn it into a TV programme as they go feral and eat each other instead of the fluffy animals ?.
