  1. Did the same a Gary, they keep telling me they will ring back, but don't. I wouldn't mind if they told me that the parts are on back order I just want to know whats going on. They have not even given a crap excuse yet. Wish I had read this before placing the order.

I thought that they cut OK to start with but would not hold there edge very well, seemed to be for ever sharpening, also found the odd tooth on some chains really hard and the file struggled to sharpen them, and some were quite soft. Found the one on my mates climbing saw was very aggressive from the start, as if the raker teeth were to low. They are good for the price, similar to the Australian Archer chains I think. Overall think I will personally stick with the Oregon & Stihl for the time being. Good luck with it Northern Arb would be nice to have a bit of decent competition in the future

  9. I just got 2 quotes for 300 metres from 2 mates 1 was 5.40/metre the other was 5.75 plus vat. removal and dispose was £200. 3 gate ways that need rehanging £50/gateway. hope this helps

  12. Glyphosate or the New Dow agri ones Garlon Ultra and Icade, made specifically for woody weeds such as Budlia Knotweed, Bramble, hogweed & gorse.
  13. I do a lot of farm knapsacking, generally people dont like doing it round here as very hilly. Once you get your name out farmers talk to each other or put a small advert in your local parish magazine or shop. I personally have never advertised and have lots of knapsacking this time of year.
  14. I am going to try some Scimitar spray on it. It says it hits it hard I will let you know how it goes.
  15. Desert Extrusion Stuff is good. I use Diamond Edge in a Portek 4 way. They do all sorts of different types for auto feeds etc. heres the UK importers website: Best Quality Strimmer Line (Strimmer Wire / Strimmer Cord) and Strimmer Heads I have used them good service.

    Saw a brushcutter at the weekend looked like a good bit of kit. Camon used to make a similar one with a flail, but dont think they do it anymore. Bloke said it was about £7000 + VAT.
  17. Rolland Hemming he provides accommodation and courses, usually cheaper than most providers charge for the whole course. He works around your needs as well. Quite far from Sheffield but hes definitely worth ringing. website is roland heming forestry and arboricultural training and assessment

    Trailer.

    I bought a second hand ifor williams p6 for £600, its in really good nick and will hold its value well. Its brilliant have two larger trailers but the little one is used the most.

  21. I have posted an old chainsaw on ebay today, its a 011AV Quickstop. I have no idea of value not a lot i imagine, it has a hard carry case with it needs a bit of restoration not sure when it was last started. Have a look if interested. Rob
