  1. I contacted Adam this morning and he pretty much confirmed this but he has got a box of tricks that will work, he is sending over the gumph pack so I will try and digest some of it and report back. Bob
  2. Just stirring up an old thread here and wondering whats new and reasonably priced in the way of gizmo`s for raising emergency services in remote places. Current place of work has zero phone signal, not even the emergency one. Bob
  3. It will be taxed as an "agricultural machine" so can be driven by a seventeen year old with an ordinary car license. God help us Link http://www.farminglife.com/ufu-watch/licensing-issues-for-teenagers-and-tractors-1-4056682 Bob
  4. Trying to make space at the moment Johny but must confess to being tempted, no chance of replacing her horsebox for that, it was the price of a house Bob
  5. I hope you chinned him or at least poked him in the eye with a stick Bob
  6. And you lot reckon I never spotted that  Bob:)
  7. Ouch! couldn't be fixed with a mummy wipe then Steve? Bob
  8. He is probably right, the non greasable bearings have diddly squat grease in them so two pumps of grease a week per bearing would be more than enough. Clock the bearing half way down the page http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/large-equipment/86854-fings-wot-broke-26.html Bob
  9. Thats the way to go Ian, the long flexi rubber ones like a hydraulic hose, fit and forget. Those plastic pipes are only good on static kit inside factories, not good on kit outside in the elements that are rattling themselves to death. Bob
  10. Rechargeable Led torch/wand worklight combo. Brilliant bit of kit so bought another for the truck , lasts hours between charges and has a mag base, telescopic pull out for the wand so the lens stays clean/scratch free. fag lighter charger as well:thumbup1: Diall 215lm ABS Plastic LED Black & Red Work Light | Departments | DIY at B&Q Kin bright
  11. Thats a bit smoother in operation than the one I borrow, the lifting slat type just rattle the gear to the back. That said you can launch stumps and chogs into it from a great height without damaging it. Bob
  12. Mick a lot of places have banned conventional tippers because of the amount of accidents with them going over. As to the walking floor its slat like battens running the length of the tipper in rows, every other batten pops up (hydraulically) and shunts back a small amount, it then drops back down as the one next to it pops up, the one that has gone down then goes forward................ and on. Bob
  13. Worth looking at and checking out another thread on here about towing with a telehandler, someone on here pointed out that not all of them are suitable. On another note they are not the most stable things with a full bucket on max vertical lift, I would be nervous of loading a high cube trailer on anything other than a hard surface, dropping a wheel into a rut or puddle on full weight/lift will be a brown trouser moment. Bob
  14. Because that old Hilux will still be running like a Swiss watch in ten years time. Bob
  15. Thats the same slip clutch coupling as on the TP that goes behind the Mog, that runs direct off the PTO (1000rpm and shaft straight to the rotor) and I always thought that it could do with a 2.1 gearbox or more to drop the engine revs. It just seems wrong to have the best part of six litres howling its nuts off to do the same job as a tiny kubota engine. Bob
  16. h1 :egg:Z . mAnE manZ aweigH untiLl necKst weaK, hE wiLl givE it thE n0d thow. b0D
  17. I have applied some science to the subject. Left to right is a Tunnocks (brick), custard ream, bourbon, hob knob and far right a rich tea. The muts twostroke and diesel will decide which is best. Diesel made a lunge for the custard cream first ( ack) Twostroke grabbed the Tunnocks while Diesel hoofed down the Bourbon. Twostroke was kept busy with that Tunnocks so Diesel went in and covered hobnob and rich tea.
  18. Tunnocks Wafers? As hard as a brick at anything other than room temperature , do you guys up north feed them through a chipper first or insert them in the man oven to preheat Bob:)
  19. Why has the " custard cream" not had a mention ? Bob
  20. Thats what I thought Spud, from the states and paying full retail they are about £60 the pair, the spin on hydraulic was less than £20 three years ago. Heavy Duty Agco Massey Ferguson Hydraulic Filter 3618662M1 3618662M2 3902287M1 | eBay 3616579M1 Hydraulic Filter for Massey Ferguson MF 3050 3060 3065 3070 3075 3080 | eBay So why has Britain become such a cash cow for the likes of Massey and other tractor manufacturers ??
  21. Dick Turpin is alive and well, he now sells Massey spares. Give it your best shot , how much? First prize is a chance to pilot a trip to Mars in the prototype Apenarb spaceship, you can pick up some Massey spares while your there. Bob One spin on and one cartridge hydraulic filter
  22. I will second that, bring them on I will take some snaps of my chainsaw holding device, its a gem for working on saws. Bob
  23. I am surprised at the knipex comments, I have always found their gear top notch. Maybe things have gone downhill. Photobucket is down at the moment but the pics will reappear eventually, they open up to 60mm. Snapon spanners are not bulky but the the shifter is about 10mm narrower overall than a 1 1/16" open ender which makes a huge difference in tight spaces. On the bigger sizes more so. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=213488&stc=1&d=1478286796http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=213489&stc=1&d=1478286796http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=213490&stc=1&d=1478286796
  24. Every now and again a tool , socket sets , spanners or a gadget comes on the market that impresses so post them up. Kicking off with a 12" shifter I bought that actually gets in places others dont because of the lack of bulk. This one is thin and strong enough to undo hydraulic pipes that are laid in rows on the arm of a digger. Its found a place in the truck and has proven useful:thumbup1: Plumbers Wide Jaw Adjustable Wrench 12" (300mm) - Next to a normal 12" shifter opens up to 60mm Vs Vs
  25. Scoundrel alert! Very dodgy looking character has been sighted mooching about these parts in this mog. Apparently on the prowl looking for chequered shirts
