  3. Mate bought one of these for his yard, his needs similar to yours, said it been faultless Don’t think you’ll get Honda 5kva genny much cheaper?
  4. Hav you thought of portable winch? More versatile, I’d wanted a vehicle mounted electric winch f years then bought an EDER 1800 from Treadlight Forestry and it’s been fantastic!
  5. Colleague went to have a look at one yesterday, he said they seem to be very well made but was concerned at the length of the shaft above the chains and thought might get bent easily hitting a stump. We’re now lookin at a fosters gg1700.... but more money [emoji849]
  6. That’s great[emoji23][emoji23]
  7. Used a Wolsey years ago and was gutted when missed out on one last year for 300, hoping Ventura as we’ll built ( but bigger )
  8. 80, 90 and 135, I didn’t think it was too dear bout 4K, won’t bother with blades....we had a bush hog for 10yrs which was good heavy duty attachment but broke blades occasionally, manager replaced it with a stupidly long very cheap (1.6k) that was more to repair in its first seasons use than it cost (blades, clutch, gearbox and 3pl mounts) We were going for a mulcher but estate owner and both feel certain users will obliterate ground flora by setting it too low
  9. There’s a dealer in Hepworth off the A143 so not too far from either of us, I’m just wondering if they’re fairly robust or made of recycled tinfoil

  11. Been looking at Ventura swipe (with chains), anyone had any experience of them? Cheers john
  12. Yeah they unveiled/announced them at apf but Arbortec guy I spoke to didn’t know when they b on sale. I think they a great idea particularly if you do railway work and private. I was told similar price to the breathflex, the inners (cs protection) bein about £100 and outers (which have mesh lining and can b worn as normal work trousers) bein about £60 He also said they wouldn’t go baggy after a few washes which is why I went back t husky technicals
  13. Looks like an old crop sprayer been converted?
  14. No ones mentioned elm hedges, there are miles of it round Norfolk and Suffolk and I have never seen it with the disease, makes a great hedge many thrashed back heavily every year so as others have said very resilient to regular cutting
  15. Are they free of knots? Just thinking bow staves
  16. I’m really tempted but basic guarding new clutch for valmet bein done this week so will hav to wait
  17. Did think of that and would like a 390 & a 3120 but can’t really justify forking out on yet more saws at the mo!
  18. Didn’t think it was dealer just your lot clearing them ASAP?
  19. My local husky dealer are doing the 3 big saws with 30% discount, he said it’s to clear the stock ASAP to meet the date for emission rules and there will be one 90cc model to replace them all
