  1. Is it alot (I SAID IS IT ALOT) louder (LOUDER!) ? cheers, steve
  2. Hey Chris.... you can use the + button (next to the quote button) to answer multiple quotes in a single comment. (hope that makes sense!) cheers, steve
  3. Yes, and useful for putting in the item condition section on eBay when he sells it on.
  4. That's right, spot on. Forgot to mention that they gave me a 5% discount, so would normally be a little more than that... although they gave me the same discount the previous time I had some as well. cheers, Steve
  5. £51.47 for 3x 5 litre Aspen2 ....the price was marginally more expensive than Aspen4... (cost about 18p more per can compared with Aspen4). That's from Riverlea in Whitland, West Wales. cheers, steve p.s... that's inc vat.
  6. Excellent. I'll chuck in a few MP's as well then.... Next question would be which DIY oil drum kiln should I be making? (in terms of low cost & efficiency). cheers, steve
  7. Rather than turning our Sitka brash into a huge early GuyFawkes bonfire I'd like to use it for something more useful. Does spruce brash make a good biochar? Anyone tried this or have any top tips? Only looking to do it on a relatively small scale/ possibly using up-cycled, re-purposed oil drums. cheers, steve
  8. Ditto to that.
  9. Nice. I'll bring a Ukulele and dancing mermaids. cheers, steve
  10. If you're there Wednesday the wind should keep felling extra exciting. Hoping we can get some more sun for a fire and fry up. ...Ahhh, what the hell, must fry eggs regardless of the weather. Catch up later.... cheers, Steve
  11. Looking forwards to seeing your profile image snedding those Sitkas!.... good job you are coming because Edward Scissor Hands said he's too busy (being famous). cheers, steve
  12. I took it as by getting the finance company to run the checks you get to find out all the juicy details before putting your signature to it. Then pay cash, cheque or whatever. cheers, steve
  13. The dealer picked up my answerphone message and called me back this morning.... so I told him "yeah, I ran an Hpi check on it. Turns out it's a Cat D so I'm not interested". He said "oh, it's a part exchange".... then the phone went quiet; he didn't want to chat anymore about it, not sure why?! I was up for talking much more than that. So I muttered expletives & headed off to the kitchen for a cup of tea & toast with proper butter.... although the butter had sea salt crystals in it and I find them a bit too zingy. cheers, Steve
  14. Nice one. Great plan Like that. cheers, steve
  15. well, it HORRIFIES me!!.... so in my fragile mind it's a horror story. I'm still clutching my pillow behind the sofa. cheers, steve
  16. Well, we need a second car and I've been on the hunt for about a month.... nothing decent enough has turned up in this part of the UK (the far, far South West Wales) so I've gone for the option of searching for a car hundreds of miles away (everything is hundreds of miles away from here/ at least that's what it feels like). Then.... woooo!! Hey presto!!... a perfect used car turns up and it's only a 4hr drive away (that's if I drive very, very fast and probably lose my licence). So Steve is sat on the iPad and rubbing his knees.... oooooh, nice alloys, oooooh low mileage.... and oooooooooh, it actually has air-con, and.... Steve stops rubbing his knees and gets on the phone. No answer. Dammit. Okay, before we leave... I suppose I should do a check on the vehicle. Basic check for £1.99 text service or RAC full Hpi check for £14.99... errr, um.... oh sod it.... I saved so much on those Piranha chains I can be less frugal. Full RAC HPi check it is!!..... And... The report land in my inbox.... Doh!! It's been damaged somehow .... Category D. So, Steve is glad that he didn't leave home and drive so far. Just miffed that the dealer didn't mention a pip about it being a Category D. Be interesting to hear other vehicle purchasing horror stories.... cheers, steve
  17. Cor, you are certainly churning them out fast now! What wood is this duck made from?.... it better watch out for Mr Grumpy (and very hungry) Fox! cheers, steve
  18. What symptoms do you have due to your intolerance? ie, do you come out in a rash, barf it up, get a headache, sneeze profusely, get the squits? (hopefully not all of those at once!). cheers, steve
  19. That's interesting to hear - have you had to cut it out entirely? I know little to nothing about being lactose intolerant... do people get intolerant to it because they've had too much? I also love cheese, proper butter, full fat milk and if I had to give them up I'd be pretty darn glum about that! cheers, steve
  20. Have to say I always look forwards to seeing your carvings of various animals... they all make me laugh so much! I love the seriousness in this one.... but it does make me giggle. Have you seen the Gruffalo fox? Looks just like it. cheers, Steve p.s.... I don't want your carving to improve. Yours have great character.
  21. I often wonder if Organic milk doesn't have the same level of concern.... ya know, all that mono-grass saturated in Monsanto product and growth hormones, etc... not to mention the plastic milk containers. Goats milk is also (supposedly) better than cows milk... Organic Giants milk could be better still. cheers, steve
  22. Maybe a glass of milk could soothe their croaky throat? hmmm cheers, Steve
  23. Yeah, good points there ~ life's gotta be for living & enjoying while we can ; and at whatever age. cheers, Steve
  24. Interesting. cheers, steve
