  1. Looks like a great bit of kit.
  2. Trouble is i'm wanting to carry extra soil around, even 5 ditching buckets worth would make a huge time save.
  3. Darn, hadn't thought of it like that. hmmm, is this a plan doomed to failure? Any hydraulic ram technicians on the forum?....
  4. Must be quite a bit - it will lift at least half of the digger weight into the air to get the tracks off the ground.
  5. I've made this full size cardboard template to get dimensions. The dozer blade is positioned about half way, with the transport box at ground level. I think I've set the height of the transport box so that with the dozer blade at its highest position without interference with the cab overhang/ swing....but gonna double check this with a proper cutout. The welly boot is for getting an idea of scale.
  6. Unfortunately not, a link box would be perfect but havent found anything local. Gonna bodge something for now!
  7. With those blacked out windows it looks like it's got loads of outer-space.
  8. That's a stunning scenery to be working in - beats shelf stacking in a supermarket.
  9. Newgale pebble beach defence has been demolished by the sea, it's been thrown over the entire road (now completely closed). Here at Haverfordwest the howling strong wind & driving rain has been coming in waves, odd because it's been nice & calm & sunny in between.... quite a surreal weather pattern from anything I've experienced before in the UK. The weather is not only weird, it's also quite worrying for where we may be heading in the future. But climate change isn't happening, right??? Photos on the western telegraph here: http://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/news/county/10911974.Live_updates_as_flooding_hits_Pembrokeshire/?ref=var_0
  10. No pain at all, and my size 9 hiking trainers are feeling tight, so if anything i think my feet maybe closer to 9½. hmmm, maybe i should get them measured in Clarks.
  11. My feet usually fit size 9 or sometimes a 9½ but I tried on umpteen pairs of Dunlop Purofort welly boots this morning and it seems my feet have shrunk to size 7. Anyone else got shrinking feet?
  12. Are you questioning my joinery skills? ....good point!
  13. Yeah!... I'm now thinking of knocking a template box up out of some pallet wood. If it's strong enough.... job done!
  14. That's another great idea!... and loving the simplicity of it. do you have any photos of your linkbox on the digger?
  15. I have family in Bristol, if this helps?....and they cook amazing food. x
  16. Was just reading this news article about the supertyphoon in the phillipines ....560 chainsaws are being shipped to communities to clear coconut trees. http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/556123/un-shipping-more-relief-goods-to-disaster-areas "....the shipment of chain saws, donated by European outdoor power products firm Husqvarna, will be distributed to some of these men to help them jumpstart livelihood again" how good is that!.... well done Husqvarna
  17. Ah, so is this why the diga bara is designed/ sized as it is?... ie, not too much weight. I'm looking to move a bit more soil around as a one man unit, without hiring anything in... not loads; something that holds about 10 full ditching buckets would save alot of running backwards and forwards. or, Do you think that's too much to expect of a 1.7tonne mini digger?
  18. Haha, yeah is a big bump. I also think eddie's dumper conversion idea is an excellent one. The Diga Bara looks great too & looks very well built....but is quite an outlay of £dosh, especially considering it's not very big (compared to farm trailers). How would a trailer connect to the mini digger dozer blade?.... 50mm ball hitch??
  19. Did you get one? Looks like a handy tool for lugging allsorts.
  20. My wellies are dead.... thinking of getting these Hoggs Aquasafe boots for plodding around in (not with chainsaw) AquaSafe-WSPR (Rigger)

  24. In our area, over the last few days people have been having their empty homes broken into & things robbed. It's been happening mid-evening, only on empty houses. Best to leave a light on if you're going out, but don't worry about your dog as they will retriever it. woof!
  25. That made the palms of my hands sweat! Do those guys & gals wear parachutes?? Total nutters.
