1.
Hi rob, I hear you are the man to speak to about carving bars/chains. I have just got myself a MS200 rear handle and would like to use that to carve with rather than my standard set up MS150. I know nothing about carving bars but assume a dime bar is a good option. Can you suggest a bar and chain combo to suit my MS200. I would think 10" bar is suitable for the size of stuff I carve. Health and happiness, Shaun

2. I'm after a MS200 rear handle. I have been using my Ms150 and could do with just a little more grunt when using it at low revs so think the 200 is worth a go but strewth dont they hold their price! that is if you can find one! Anyone got one they want to sell at a reasonable price inc delivery?
3. To me that looks great just as it is. I feel a green man is up to the individual and can be anything from an oak leaf with eyes to just a face.
4. I did finish it but I'm going to repair the cracks and rub it down a bit to lighten it up.
5. How is the bear coming along? Thank you all for advice on buying wood, I got myself a trailer load from 'Luke Chapman' Luke Chapman - Woodcarver | Wood Sculptor | Designer a smashin bloke and fantastic chisel and chainsaw carver.
6. Those Facebook pictures are great, the more I see of it the more I like it. Very nice job well done
7. Thats gonna be nice But where do you procure such a piece of wood and at what cost? I have a right problem sourcing tree locally and don't know the going rate for what size and what type of wood
8. I like that very nice and the hair is just like SWMBO
9. The bark didn't look like spruce to me but I'm no expert. I would have liked to be soaking it out in oils but am still awaiting delivery so it's dry right now and paying the price
10. I had a nibble with a chisel on his head, I thought he looked a bit cute and needed to be a bit narlier. I'm finding it very hard to get a true representation picture using my camera phone
11. I have left chainsaw marks here and there as that's my style (rough as a badgers @rse). I have no idea what wood it is but it seems very waxy and lovely to work with. I think the grain is going to look real nice once my Cuprinol Decking Oil arrives. May have to keep this one and have it indoors so looking out for another piece of suitable tree so I can make one to sell.
12. I think that's your best yet and VERY nice well done
13. Off the top of my head the European brown hare (Lepus europaeus) is able to run at speeds of up to 56 km/h (35 mph).
14. A smear of Gorilla on the joint and sash cramps and the break was sorted I cut 2" off the end so it stands less chance of getting knocked again. 2 Paracetamol for bunny and a coffee for me and some more carving done. I had to resort to using a spade bit to drill between front and back legs other than that it's all chainsaw so far. It's bloomin windy today so having problems with wood blowing under my mesh visor and getting in my eyes.
15. Bugger dropped it just about to go get some Gorilla PU glue.
16. Just started marking out and rough cutting a running hare. Cant go into detail due to my MS150 being dead and being under warranty it's being fixed by the place of purchase. I got the ash marked up and a few cuts with firstly a large Husky then my MS260. More to follow as it progresses.
17. I like it. ref vibes, I use the same set up for everything I do and when I 1st got the saw it vibrated quite a bit but now it's had a few gallons through it and the AV spring on the handle has had some wear I dont notice any undue vibes. I wear a pair of Johnserd chainsaw b#gloves. My 150 just died after 10 months work No spark
18. What you have there is essence and again perfect
19. Love it as it is I think you have cracked it. I have been carving owls quite detailed using chainsaw then chisel but just started doing them very basic as is your angel but sanded and varnished and I think it works. Crack on as is
20. Ha, like that Wizard I have no idea what wood it is Twas on the side of the road laid there a few weeks so I liberated it I think it's tree wood
21. I really enjoy these hares and have just about completed No.4 northcountryboy, PM finally sent!!
22.
Hi, you asked me some time ago about my moon gazing hare. I was very negative about a courier sorry <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It's about 28" tall and not sure of weight but if you are still interested I will go weigh it. I sold the last hare for £200. Regards, Shaun

23. Like that I want to do one with hind leg up and him having a clean up
