  9. When I got my present car, it had BFG Profilers on all corners. When it came to change the rear pair, they'd done approx. 25,300mls. But the front ones only did around 15,000mls. I really liked those tyres; BFG ceased making car tyres or at least, they ceased the size that fit my car.

  11. Rather depends what sort of surface the miles were mainly gained on. Around the Lakes, I'd be lucky to get 10,000mls. Down south where the roads are better, less cracks, less potholes, less bends & less salt; 15,000 is more realistic. Either way, forestry tracks and newly resurfaced roads really trash tyres.
  12. Yep. Me among them.

  14. No. I'm going to Longleat's 'Festival of Light' https://m.longleat.co.uk/christmas/twilight And I've family on south coast to visit.
  15. Far too much before and far too much now.
  16. Hoping the east of Bath stays clear over next few days. As I'm off to Longleat, thence to the south coast.
  17. Nope. Just rain and lots of it.
  18. And 3hrs. later it's tamping down. Another day of non amusement for the cat.
  19. Drizzling and chilly.
  20. If only it could face been done before Chritmas, you'd have made a mint on selling the mistletoe.
  21. Bought Napoleon Dynamite on DVD, as I'd heard it was my kind of film. Watched it once, found it to be utter crap and gave it away to friends who raved about it.
  22. If people are willing to transport and sell such dubious things, I dare say there's other nefarious things they're willing to do, in order to get it done. Perhaps, nicking the truck; not paying their workers; leaving this country with more goods of suspect origin, than was brought in. Just thoughts.
  23. Damp with light drizzle. Getting colder now and it looks like right condition for black ice over weekend.
  24. A little dame and chilly but still managed to part dry clothes on the line.
  25. I think that made for a bad day at work. The sort of day, when you wished you'd stayed in bed. I loved the notion, that five people on a plank, would somehow counterbalance a digger.
